In response to a conversation elsewhere Bob's Has organic gf oats and non GF organic oats, which is why it always pays to double check the bags. My guys also stopped buying Cheerios after I believe the 3rd time they were caught selling non gf products marked gf.

Wow, that's weird about Cheerios. I have 3 boxes of them at home (got some on sale recently). I don't have the gf issue, but curious -- how did this non-gf information get revealed?

I got mine at the Writer’s Spot when it was still open. I remember being so excited to try it because of the hype. I was disappointed. I think I only could eat half, and that was out of guilt because I made my family wait around for me to get it. We probably also used the dining plan at the time and so I also wasted a snack credit. It was kind of like a whoopie pie (which I don’t like), because the cake is dry.
I've never actually had a whoopie pie. It was on my list of things to try, but we were never hungry, so there are a LOT of things on my list that I never got around to. But yes, that's part of what I didn't like about the carrot cake cookie...really dry, but then you'd bite into a squishy raisin and just.....blech. Now that I think about it, I think E and I only got one and were going to share, and she never ate her half. I think I only took a couple of bites, told her she could have the rest, and she never ate it.

I make whoopie pie all the time.

Good luck. Playing in heavy downpours does not sound like fun.

thanks, and a second kid can’t make it. No subs, at least in the first game. Not sure about second. I don’t know if they’re sick or what.. parents didn’t specify.

I wish the top of T’s hair would still fit in a tiny ponytail, won’t work with his current haircut. I don’t have a good plan to keep it from driving him nuts on his forehead and dripping in eyes. I did send 2 winter hats... not sure if they’ll be more annoying.

I'm so glad it's weekend so we could sleep in. I really don't like row houses. But ours are so bad with the thin walls. Apparently our neighbor has company for the weekend with a small baby who I'm thinking is either colicky or sick, because he/she cried for over an hour and a half straight last night, starting around 2:30 in the morning. It woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep until after it stopped, after 4:00 am. I was tempted to go ring their doorbell and offer some tips for the poor baby. Sounded like it was a few weeks old...not quite a newborn, but also not much more than a couple of months old. And there were a couple times where the poor baby was shrieking like he/she was being murdered. It wasn't a hungry cry, but a hysterical screech. My daughter used to cry all night until I discovered Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp and the combination of swaddling, shhhhing, and swaying saved our sanity. Fortunately, our neighbors on both sides are hearing impaired, so I never had anyone banging on the door. But I think if this baby lived next door, I'd have to say something eventually!
