I didn't do 7DMT. I did BTMR on our honeymoon and was so sick afterwards. I didn't take my dramamine early enough. I really want to do Forbidden Journey, if I fit in the seats, but I'm told it's not for "fluffy" people. And I definitely can not do EE/mummy. Lot's of research to do for what all there is at Universal.
{{HUGS}} If nothing else the shows are cute and some are very well done. A must do all 3 Tales of Beedle the Bard so seeing them will take time and seeing the wand "show" is a must do. Do it before buying a wand. We found getting chosen is easier right before close;)

I really wish that you could just buy entrance tickets with a no rides option. Some just want to enjoy just seeing the parks and don't want to go on rides. I just want to see Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. I don't care about the rides.
Resort touring over there is free and fun:joyfull: you can one day park to park and have a full day just seeing WWOHP, ride Hogwart's express and ride the Seuss rides. Well worth it

{{HUGS}} Margaritaville has excellent fries not too oily or salty, Finnegan's has fish and chips. Sal's at Portofino has pizza, we didn't try it. I'm trying to come up with a list so you don't have to venture off property too often.
Thanks. That's very sweet. We'll manage. Last Disney trip, DS ate pretty much nothing but fries. He ate cookies at dinner buffets, and fries....breakfasts, he'll eat pancakes and perhaps waffles, and he'll eat muffins and donuts. I KNOW there will be places that have fries, and I'm sure most breakfast buffets will have pancakes. We shouldn't have to leave property. If he doesn't want to eat the chicken nuggets, he can eat the fries. We're pretty mellow on vacation when it comes to that...and we're working on trying new foods, too, so we have almost 8 months for him to get used to that. Maybe the list will be a lot longer by then.

I assume you have the dining plan, because paying $40 out of pocket would be maddening for a plate of cookies.

Sympathy like. My ds is the super picky one in our family. I thought it would change when he went through a growth spurt, but nope. It is rather annoying.
Well, I understand because I'm very picky myself. Not nearly as picky as DS, but pretty picky. But what we've learned from our Autism training is that his mouth is overly sensitive, so food feels very weird for him and it's not so much about taste, but feel. That's why one chicken nugget is fine, but another brand feels weird and that's scary to him. We had to take videos of him and one of the things we recorded was dinner time, and our trainer watched the video, and showed us exactly where you could see how he eats, that he's very sensitive in his mouth. He has a very unique way of eating, where he avoids contact with his lips, etc....once she pointed it out, it made sense and explained a lot. But now we just have to kind of get him used to things feeling different and get him used to different textures.

We went to Hogsmeade when it first opened and there were only 3 rides...there were the 2 coasters and then the Forbidden Journey. At the time, I didn't think I could do FJ, I just wanted to shop and I wanted to do the Olivander's experience. But the wait for the Olivander's experience was 90 minutes, Forbidden Journey was 360 minutes, and just to get into the main gift shop where they sell the wands was 45-60 minutes. The shortest wait was to get into Honeydukes: 15 minutes. There wasn't room to swing a kneazle and we left disappointed, having not gotten to do anything. We went at 9:30 in the morning and couldn't even get into the WWoHP....they had already reached capacity. So they told us to try around 3 or 4 in the afternoon when people started leaving the area. That's what we did, and we were able to get in, but the wait times were just insane. We went into Honeydukes/zonkos, which are attached to eachother, bought a few treats, then my friend and I got in line for the bigger store while our husbands and my kids sat on a bench for an hour and a half to wait for us. Almost an hour later, it was our turn in the shop, but it was SO busy you could hardly walk through, and there was a HUGE crowd around the wall with the wands. All I wanted was a wand, and I couldn't even get up to the wall to see what wands they had. Every time someone would get their wand and step out of the way, there were 3 more jumping into that spot to look, and someone literally jumped up and reached over my head, clobbering me on the way down, to reach a wand that was up higher on the wall. I gave up after about 10 minutes and left empty-handed. But that was when it had only been opened for a month, so I'm betting it's kind of like FOP at AK....now it's been opened for 8 years, it SHOULDN'T be as packed. On the up side, I was so disappointed, my friend's husband contacted Universal and complained, explaining I had come all the way from the Netherlands and hadn't even been able to get to the wands. So they gave me a free one. So now I'm looking forward to actually getting to do Olivander's and look through the shops....I need a new Ravenclaw hoodie as mine is falling apart. I'd LIKE to do Forbidden Journey, but if I can't, I want to at least go through the queue to see the theming. But I'm not particularly fussed about whether I get to go on a coaster or not...I'm really only there for the theming.

Ha, yeah, the package we get from Europe has the free dining plan. Well, it has free quick service and we upgrade to the dining plan so we can do character meals and the fun things like Whispering Canyon and 50s Prime Time, etc. But now you know why we won't go back to Tuskerhouse. Total waste of a dining credit for us as not even DH, who will eat almost anything besides pea soup, could find much to enjoy. He found stuff he'd eat, but nothing he really enjoyed. Most buffets are expensive enough....we wouldn't do them without the dining plan, but we can at least find decent food there and even DS can usually find fries or something. He ate nothing but chocolate chip cookies at TH, and yes, it was maddening. I can't imagine how I'd have felt if we'd paid out of pocket!!!

Good morning, and Happy New Year! I got back from the desert in time for snow, rain, freezing drizzle. Even though it was cold in AZ and Vegas, at least it was dry. Nice to be back home with the pup, though. It is funny how much I miss the little fuzzy girl.

By the way, @Mr Ferret 88 , I hated Vegas. After getting full body pushed in the crowds, I was ready to go back to our room. Where we were serenaded by loud techno music until 5am. Not sure where it was coming from, as we were on the 25th floor. Nice view of the strip, and could see the Bellagio water show from our room window.

I was running late so didn’t even have time to have it detailed.. we’ll go back together as soon as he’s finished. I’m outside waiting now.. T’s clinic is over at 11:45., I’ll walk in right before then. Can’t wait to see his reaction!!!

Don’t worry., I was safe taking the photos while driving.. even though it looks bad. lol.

Ok I need advice on our upcoming WDW trip please. We are thinking about doing the Disney after dark. We have two options that week-HS or MK. It is $125 each plus free snacks and drinks inc. plus a lot of rides. Should we and which park would you do? Thanks guys for your feedback..😊
Another MK vote. Although, to be honest, I am too much of a cheapskate to pay that.
