I visited a water temple since it is day 1 of a 6 day celebration of Balinese new year. Today is the day for purification so I had hoped there would be some activity at the temple but there was none while we were there. It did mean I could take some pictures without disturbing people.

The cat on this shrine was creepy and kept giving me the evil eye.

Afterward the temple we went to a cafe to cool down. They clearly had used the internet to translate there menu so it was a challenge to decipher. My mom was boring/ smart and ordered a coke. I ordered something that was impossible to understand on the menu from the drinks page. This is what I got

It was shaved ice with Apple, watermelon, jelly balls, syrup and condensed milk. It was actually very nice except for the jelly balls.
Usually he writes it in his homework notebook. The only parent note he wrote was “First Communion Meeting 7pm”. The email came at 2:20 which is an odd time. I had already left to pick him up, then we ran home to change into soccer clothes, went to a doctors appt, then straight to soccer. Arrived home at 7pm and started homework. I never checked my email again. I do always check it during the day.. will make sure to always check nightly before bed.
