Guys...... between finding out I can book Shades of Green and getting an acceptance letter to start graduate school, today has been a really good day! I'm sure doing MBA homework will be fun at Shades of Green though

I prefer traveling to Disney/WDW/DL solo. Nobody to rush me through the airport. Traveling with other people, I have often wondered, "what's the hurry?" You rush, rush, rush, and then you will just have to wait, wait, wait when you get to the gate. It's nice not to have anyone tell me to hurry up when I am by myself. I guess in most things in my life, I am a loner.

Love this! I've traveled solo many times.

I'm fearing it...he is in NorthWestern University Hospital, the best of the best. My DD friend works as a trauma nurse in that ER. Blah.
News reporters are overly guarded with their words. That is usually not a good sign. Awaiting a press conference where the commissioner is to address the officer. Ugh.

That's rough. I recall a few years ago when an officer was shot and killed in my area (responding to a store robbery). He'd been on the force his whole working life, and was about 10 days from retirement . . . that hit us all very hard.

Stuff like that I use to keep multiples of. Open *item* from pantry I'd replace it. Here at the moment there is not a pantry. This too shall change.

Do you have chocolate? (I always stock chocolate--nothing much else, because why bother?)

Today is big day for bakeries where I live. The local media for years has covering bakeries on Paczki day. I know about Paczki day to me being Polish. It is a big polish tradition. When I was growing up, my parents made up Paczki's the night before. My parent made them up the night before so we could have them for breakfast. They also were part of my bag lunch for school when I was growing up. My parents made them up in different flavors.

Here is an example of what Paczki looks like:

Tomorrow I am having a nuclear stress test, and will come home from the facility with a 48 hour heart monitor. The cardiologist wants to find out once and for all if I do indeed have an irregular heartbeat. I also told him at my last appointment about how tired I get after certain activities. I attribute it to my age of course, but I guess it could be something else. I didn't realize that the stress test took so long. I just received a phone reminder about the procedure. Keep good thoughts about me tomorrow.

Well, think of it as another experience in life, and a new topic of conversation with your pals! (I'm sure you'll be just fine.)

We had Paczki's today, still have a few to go. Lets see, we picked key lime, strawberry, peach and cheese. Our bakery uses real fruit not jellies and the pastry just melts in your mouth.

My DD is thinking about Disney too and homework. She is normally the first one up so I can imagine her by the pool with her tea and laptop in the morning. A good chunk of people going onto Grad School have full time careers already, my DD is finding the professor is plopping out an assignment a week always due at night on a Monday. If I am remembering correctly I think each course is 8 weeks and then it rolls right into the next course.

My daughter is not quite old enough to leave in the room but I can definitely read some text books on the balcony while she sleeps in. And during nap time. I've read that SOG WiFi is a bit weak, so hopefully that won't become an issue.

I'd love to study by the pool though. I used to do that during my bachelor's classes.

If they are using powdered eggs, it isn't a good cake. @figmentfan423 could whip you something up, but it would be gluten/ dairy free. Maybe that red velvet cake?

I only bake vegan cakes and cupcakes now. They are so yummy and much easier to bake then regular ones. Now I have to also learn to do gluten free.
