Whaaaat? Not sure I like that.Wow, theres rumours now floating that Disney might acquire most of Fox assets (Fox Television, Fox Movie Studios) to reduce the range and capacity of Netflix and not to get Fox's things.
How 'bout a direct link. It may take too much effort to actually get out of this thread and look.Reflecting back on the topic I exchanged with a couple of posters who said they only look at THIS thread....they don't look at the stack of thread options on the entire Chit Chat forum........( imagine a trumpet tooting out an announcement-style fanfare.....)
I have posted a new picture on my Fall Foliage thread that can be accessed by actually leaving this thread and selecting that one.
Have a nice evening everyone.![]()

Oh, the Lion King musical is amazing!! I saw it several years ago, but I'm sure it's still wonderful. Have so much fun there! Is that weird to get tornado warnings on november?
But then we are having weird weather ourselves too.
We are not supposed to get rains anymore until late december or january. and forecast says there is going to be rain the entire week.
and temps dropping a bit.
As for me, wish me luck. Leaving in 2 days to Mexico city to see the broadway show of THE LION KING and other things.
Earlier I posted that I wanted the reader to imagine a royal announcement-style trumpet fanfare. That was very lazy of me to ask for people to imagine

Let me spoil you some more....
I know, its on CNN and other media right now.Whaaaat? Not sure I like that.
Oh that's heartbreaking. I don't think you ever get the image out of your head, either. And we've had three near misses ourselves this week and it just sets me right back in that moment. I don't know if it's just that I'm more sensitive since seeing it, or if it really is a bad traffic week, but I keep seeing people being so reckless! Today, I picked up DS from school, we were biking home and the SAME INTERSECTION, a teenage girl on a bike just went right in front of a car...earphones in, the car slammed on the brakes and honked and she didn't even look at him...like she didn't even notice she had just about been run over! I don't know if her music was so loud that she didn't hear the honk or what. But there were like 6 other people on bikes at the intersection who DID stop...how did she not see the car coming? It's a terrible intersection....it needs a light or something. I HATE that place, and I have to go by it whenever I go shopping, pick DS up from school, or take DD to Musical Theater class, or when I go to the doctor, as it's right in front of the doctor's office. It's right by the city center, so it's extremely busy.Sympathy like.
Love the groaners , but, so sorry you had to witness that accident.
When I worked at the Go-kart track for my first job in HS there was an accident on the road out in front. We had no customers at the time, so we were watching the cleanup and the police directing traffic. All of a sudden, this car comes speeding up the lane while the officer had his back turned. We were agast. Smacked right into him, threw him about 40 ft., and he landed directly behind an ambulance. Pure Chaos after that...
The guy stopped his car, the female officer that was standing near the officer when he was hit, drew her weapon and ran over, yelling at the driver that if he moved she would shoot to kill.
It was insane. Turns out, the guy was not impaired, he was just confused...how, I have no clue. We let him use our shop phone to call a friend and he was a mess.
Unfortunately, the officer never regained consciousness and died 3 days later, 3 days before Christmas. Even more sad, he had a wife and 3 young kiddos.![]()
Crossing fingers for you.I just returned from my echocardiogram appointment. They didn't ask me for any money, or a copayment. That surprised me. The test was relatively pain fee, although those horrible examining tables are always so hard, and uncomfortable. The machine made my heart sound like it was underwater, or I guess it could be compared to someone taking one of those thin ceiling panels out, and it makes that weird noise as it bends in all directions. Now I wait while my doctor gets the results read. Since she isn't a cardiologist I assume she will look at it herself, but the cardiologist she has referred me to will do the actual reading. Crossing my fingers there's nothing too bad wrong with me.
Horrifying. I remember exactly everything that went through my head...I was thinking how stupid I was to make the mistake with the time...and there's a store on the way to DS's school that's outside of the regular shopping district, so I don't go there unless I have to because it's so out of the way, but since I now have to go right by it to get to the school, I was thinking I would pop in there and browse for half an hour because I wanted to get some colored magnets for a whiteboard so DS can see exactly where everyone is...home, school, work, grocery store, etc....anyway, so I was thinking of that and then suddenly there was a bike in front of the car and I remember gasping and exclaiming "Oh!!" just as the car hit the woman and I heard the impact and saw her fly up over the hood of the car, but I thought it was a backpack. And then I pulled my bike over onto the sidewalk so I could call for an ambulance. It was all so fast, but everything I was thinking seemed to be slow...that gasp and the "Oh!" are ingrained in my brain. It wasn't until I saw someone doing CPR that I even realized it was not a backpack I had seen flying over the car...I really thought the victim was in front of the car until I got off the phone and looked. I had been concentrating on street signs and not looking at the scene while I called for the ambulance. But I will never get that out of my head. I hope you never witness something like that.Good grief. I can't even imagine what it must've felt like to witness that.
How long before you get the results then?I just returned from my echocardiogram appointment. They didn't ask me for any money, or a copayment. That surprised me. Left a few minutes early to take oldest dd to gymnastics cause I needed to get gas. Left my development and started accelerating. Barely got to 35 when a deer popped in front of me.I still know my reflexes are good cause I slammed on those brakes pretty darn fast. You know, the stupid deer which was probably maybe 10 feet from the hood didn’t even acknowledge the car. It just kept on moseying across the road like it had all evening.
My intestines felt like they had twisted in my abdomen.

We think a mama moved in and had babies; they're very small. And all in the same room.Sounds like you have a mouse problem in your house--but then again, I think that the cats are getting it under control very quickly!!
