Thank you....that helps a lot. I know he's capable of so much, but I do worry that people will underestimate him because of the label. His Psychologist showed him a video about Autism yesterday, and it says in that video that the wiring in the brain makes them see things differently, but just because a playstation game won't work on an xbox doesn't mean it's broken, and it takes someone with the empathy to understand how an Autistic brain works differently to help. I'm sure he'll be fine at this school, IF he gets in. They are trained teachers and professionals. I just REALLY hope they will accept him.
That sounds exactly like the movie my ds' class watched a few years ago. I hope it was it made all the kids feel better even the ones without autism:joyfull:

Well, the school hasn't actually given us any work for him yet.:cautious: But, he IS less stressed, though he is still having nightmares and such. I think now it's more nerves about what the new school will be like than anything. Natural, I think. But it's going to be an interesting couple of weeks. We have fall break starting October 16th. Ideally, we would come home from DLP and he'd be able to start right away at the new school, but I don't know if that is realistic.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you.

As much as I love food and wine it is a drunkfest for some but tends to inflict many. Flower is much more tame (for now)
I love flower and garden, but it's too close to our family June trip. So we go to food and wine, but around 11:00 A.M. and early lunch, or late breakfast we start at Paris and have treats at the bakery, then do one side. The next day (or ...so) we start at the Paris bakery and do the side we didn't catch the first day, it breaks up the fun, and you can get the things on each side you want to try. The third day, if time allows.....we go back for the favorite foods.

Yes, I hope that F&G doesn't become another Food & Wine. One of the reasons we avoid Food & Wine is because of too many drunkards. We went in 2013 on the last weekend of Food & Wine and there were just too many out of control people in my opinion. I don't care if people drink and have fun, it was just overboard.
Our style of touring avoids most of the drunks. We start early and end early. See my earlier note. We went one time on a Saturday night.....big mistake!!! never to do that again....Oh, I forgot to mention we only go Mon. thru Thursday....what ever fits in. Sometimes one day and half one side. If time allows, only the other side. We decide what is the "best" side for us. And do that first. We don't mind missing the second side.....
