Sorry. But glad she isn't one of the flooded ones. I saw a picture on twitter yesterday. A big, huge line a couple blocks long at one of the many FEMA centers. Only to read on, it wasn't for those looking for assistance, it was this massive group of people waiting to be processed to volunteer to help restore Houston.
Reminds me of that huge line (and I mean miles long) of people with boats going to the affected cities.

Its amazing how people go together to help.. but also sad that it only takes a big giant disaster to make them work together.

still raining here.. almost 3 weeks so far of constant rains heh.
Main river is at 99% capacity now.

the good thing is, this area I am on, doesnt get flooded easily, the surrounded areas do. Specially next to the big river. (we're around 2 miles from the river where I am).

So, so far we're ok.

I honestly get scared more of Quakes than Hurricanes.

Glad you're o.k. so far, Casar. But the main river at 99% does make one pause for concern . . . I hope the rain stops now in your area.

Happy Labor Day! I seriously wonder why men get to think they should get the day off:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Just a quick errand then the boys and I are off to the pool for some much needed relaxation while my dh is sleeping. ok I need the relaxation and the boys are going to hopefully wear themselves out:joyfull:

Work manifests itself in many ways--working outside of home like I do (and your hubs does), and working at home like you do. In the end, it all evens out somehow. :cat:
