Well, Jasmine got stuck someplace again...my door chest. She jumped in and being black, I didn't see her, and shut the doors. That little fluffball needs to control her curiosity. And her owner must learn to check before closing any doors to make sure there is no kitten present.

Poor Jasmine, maybe she needs a little bell around her neck for awhile.

So today in route to my Moms we hit Schaumburgs Septemberfest in the morning.

It is a cause near and dear to our hearts and have been going for years and years at this time. In the morning it is also Free Rides for children and young adults with special needs and their families. And for those of us that don't qualify the funds go to special Olympics.
It is a win for all. The music is cut off for those with autistic sound issues, all you heard was the glee of those before the offical fest opening having fun for free. A annual fun and rewarding event for my family to support. Then forward onto my Mom's. Another saga of aging it was today. A good visit but kinda seeing the writing on the wall so to say. Rough week with all that too.

The festival sounds like fun. Im sorry if you mom isn't doing so well. It sounds like a puppy snuggle might help. I guess I'm trying to peer pressure you into a dog. ;):)

I got an aunt who is in the impacted area. She didnt get flooded by all the nearby areas were. Very scary! (She lives in the borders of Katy, TX).

In other news, its been the 2nd consecutive day of daily rains. There was still sun (last week was 24/7 rains).
Refreshing! but also kinda worrisome ( Rivers started to get almost to 100% capacity)

I'm glad you aunt wasn't flooded and is safe. I hope you stay safe with all your rain too.

Not as much shopping this trip, as we spent the better part of two days in Disney Springs this March.

Ski wants nothing but Test Track Chevy shirts. Son #1 apparently wants MORE Disney sleep pants. Hubby hasn't said what he wants, as we managed to get his giant Stitchie in the spring. And I want another Stitchie print for our bedroom, any new garbage can salt/pepper shakers (that I don't already have), two more Mickey trivets, the flatware set I should have bought in March (when we were driving, and luggage weight was not an issue), and maybe a new Dooney.

See, hardly anything at all.

What about Basin products?

Not on the list, somebody in our house was bitten by one once:(

Oh that's sad. The only time I was bitten by a dog was when I was small and thought it would be a good idea to take away their food while they were eating. I learned my lesson from that. I can't remember if it was our sheltie or a schnauzer that did it because it was when I was 4-5 years old. Usually my schnauzies are just little balls of love.

Last night I heard a noise in the middle of the night and I could figure out what the heck it was. My furnace kicked on for the first time since April. It's only September 3rd! :grumpy:

Dislike to this. We have had some cool nights lately but no furnace yet.

Although I will say that while I was driving to my sister's house yesterday the outside temp ranged from 62-63 and I had the heat on in the car.

Wow. All too chicken to back me up...
I think this thread has been fun for a long time and I hope my morning pic puts a smile on people's faces. It runs in cycles where there are good times with food, pets, vacations, etc. and then there are times where people use this as their personal therapy thread. Which is fine unless it goes on and on and on over days. Kind of a bummer.

Then it'll get fun again with food, pets, vacations, etc. until a discussion comes up with varying opinions. Which is fine until it goes on and on and sides can't agree to disagree but keep stating their opinion trying to stir things up or change everyone's mind and it doesn't happen. Kind of a bummer. What happens in one's walk of life may or may not happen in another and that realization at times is lacking.

Now one can say "I don't think that happens in this thread" but it is does. One can skip posts and put people on ignore, even here. Sad but true. I'm not saying that ChitChat should all be about rainbow farting unicorns but a lot of constant personal drama is kind of a bummer. Just one reason I don't post about mine but to each their own. We're all human, I think that's sometimes forgotten.

And now a moment of funny from one of our favorite movies @donaldtoo. :hilarious:
