I'm about 99% packed, and now I just wait for Sunday. I have a 5 day park hopper, with the possibility of 6 days in the park. My plane arrives early in Orange County, so I am leaning toward using the first day of my ticket, on that day instead of a later day. Sunday and Monday and Friday the parks are open late. Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday they are not. So, my first night I can possibly get my fill of riding the train, and watch the fireworks, and just enjoying the wonder of being there. Monday is my birthday, and a holiday and will obviously be a long tiring day. If I take Tuesday off, I can sleep late, shop at Downtown Disney, and perhaps catch a movie and dine at my leisure. Wednesday will be my DCA day, and WOC. Thursday I can use my early entry, and Friday is my Fantasmic night. That doesn't mean that I can't also see it on my birthday if I want to collect a fastpass. I wouldn't have to choose a day to skip, if Disney would just let me buy an additional day at a reasonable price. A big gripe of mine. I have given up on the AP update, since Sunday is blocked out for Deluxe, and if I did go next year with my friend Annette, she only has 5 day hoppers, and I'd want a longer trip in order to better justify the AP purchase. Makes sense to me.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. 3 more sleeps.
Happy birthday and may the next 2 sleeps go quickly and the 7 after that slowly. Safe travels and have a wonderful trip.

Hey, we might get out of work early today (3:00) prior to the long holiday weekend!! It's not quite "half day Friday" as @donaldtoo observes each week, but I'll take what I can get! Let the countdown clock to freedom begin! :joyfull: :joyfull:
My dh got last night off and doesn't go in until Tuesday night:mad::banghead::oops: I was hoping to get a few things done without him underfoot. I wish I could give you his extra time off.
