Me too, of all the things that Disney has eliminated, this is up in my list for the most missed. The parade and music made my day.

Tapestry had such a different sound and vocals. It was calming and relaxing. On my Disney Parks CD that is in my car I often skip through some of the over the top "happy happy" parade/stage show stuff. Kinda grates on my last nerve.

Thanks, that a laugh out loud chuckle! Dogs are so much fun, and very creative. I always wish I could read my dogs mind.

My Shepard was my gentle giant, strong willed and very quirky. It took me a while to understand how her mind worked, a complex woman she was.

Quirky-Bonz treat were hard and more round than they are now. They were her favorite. She often saved them until later. I'd find them stuffed into beds, couch cushions but sometimes she just used her imagination. On the tiled kitchen floor or rug she would pretend to dig a hole. Then she'd take the bonz and place it in the imaginary hole. She would use her snout and move back all the imaginary dirt from the imaginary hole she dug. Then when there was enough imaginary dirt (sometimes it took a while) she could pat down the imaginary dirt pressing on the bonz with her nose making sure it was firmly buried. :cyclops: I'm sad we didn't have a video camera back then.

Just checked in to Grand Californian and ordered room service for lunch. I definitely like it better than DLH, even though check-in took almost 30 minutes. Very busy here! But, I got an upgrade to pool view, so at least a little magic for my b-day!

Some room pics.

I like there are hooks for jackets! I rarely see these in hotel rooms.

Very pretty. I like both of the rooms. The coat hooks are at the French Quarter too but theirs also have a shelf atop, so 2 boards and L, hooks on bottom shelve on top. It was over the padded bench, good use of dead space. We used it for coats and backpacks.

Got in at around 12:30 last night. Cat refused to come out. We had no idea where she was and all of us, including my dad, who claims he doesn't like cats (but really is just a big softie) was concerned. My mom woke up at around 6:30 and found the cat and coaxed her out. Then, my mom let her in my room and she's either been following me or on top of me ever since. So she was pretty traumatized by the kitchen remodel. Now if I sit down, she appears. And she follows me around complaining.

She's also not a fan of the snow. The three feet of snow outside the door is blocking her favorite lookout spot. She put her paws on the window and meowed at me as if to say, "It's blocking my view; fix it."

Poor kitty. Oy. Maybe she thought you were the carpenters coming back to make more disturbing noises and smells.

A couple years ago when we had so much snow and then it drifted upto 9 feet in areas around the house I had to eventually climb behind the bushes that were covered and blocked by the eaves and dig out the drift and scrape the snow off Walt's window. He sat there and looked at a solid white screen, then looked at me. That morning of the snow he had a 12 inch valley between 2 drifts to go out in, he did and got to the huge round picnic table and under there he did go..........

Hi everyone! Hope all is well with you guys and gals. Have been really busy with work here, so have not been able to post as much as usual, but I hope all my North East pals survived the Snowpocalyple. We got through it (barely), and here are a few quick memories -

Here is Phil, just as the snow begins on Friday night:

What's that thing growing out of the center of his head? And why is he outside without a jacket? (Free answer on that one. I made him, for a photo shoot. He was not happy. But I was.)

This is the next morning, after we plowed the deck. It is worse than it looks, and it continued to snow all day and all night.

So, I just decided to be happy about the snowpocalyplse.

Then the cat decided he'd had enough and wanted to jump out the window.

Fun weekend at Phil's, but now back to my crappy one room apartment in NYC, and this is what I came home to find.

And this. Arghhh.

Oh well. We made it through the storm alive, so who can complain?

Happy January, everyone!!

Glad you made it through the snowpocalyplse and at least you had some fun!

So I am now settled in my hotel room at Disneyland Hotel after a couple hours in the parks and dinner at the Steakhouse Lounge. Watching the Disney Channel of course! :)

Cool room. If I stayed there that framed picture of Walt and the castle might be coming home with me, that is one of my favorite pictures of him. ;)

^^^^^ This and I just realized I'm not going to have anyway to get the pics from the camera to the internet. Sorry guys you're going to have to wait for my TR for pics. The boys already have plans for the pockets and can't really get anything under the seats. The upside the car we're taking gets 40 mpg highways even with luggage:inlove:

We will wait, and wait, and wait....;)
