I'm going to take a bath. I need silence and chocolate. Spent the day at my in-laws' house. I can laugh at my MIL changing my settings on the oven and trying to explain to me how to make a dish that I taught her to make and that I make much more often than she does....it cracks me up that she still doesn't trust me to make it even though she learned it from ME. But my nephew was driving me crazy...called my FIL stupid and laughed when my husband told him that wasn't nice or funny, then he took as long as he could, dishing up his ice cream by the half teaspoon so that my son had to wait longer before he got any, and he was being loud and obnoxious the whole afternoon and evening and then after dinner, my husband missed the hint that I wanted to leave, so I had to sit for another HOUR while the boys had the volume turned up on their tablets, they were shouting to each other themselves, and my FIL who is nearly deaf, had the tv turned up so loud so he could hear it, and then my in-laws were talking over the top of the boys and the noise of their tablets. I feel like someone rubbed my whole body raw with sand paper...every sound feels like someone's shouting in my ear. Calgon take me away!!

I don't know why but this song popped into my head...

Hey well
I'm a friendly stranger in a black sedan
Won't you hop inside my car.
I got pictures, got candy
I'm a lovable man
And I can take you to the nearest star.
I'm your vehicle baby
I'll take you anywhere you want to go.
I'm your vehicle woman...

I guess the days of the old big cruisers are over. The days when we could cram 8 to 10 into the car and cruise all night on $8 worth of gas.....
Thanks, now you have everyone believing that I'm a pervert because I own a Cadillac. I probably am a pervert, but, the car had nothing to do with it. :joyfull:

Yes, you definitely need one of these.

Thanks, Figgy! :)

Actually, I've done a little research since my previous posts...
There are plenty of heart "conditions" you can have and still get a private pilots license. As long as you haven't ever had a heart attack. One site I read listed 9, although mine wasn't on the list and I haven't researched it specifically, so I'm still not sure.
However, I did find out that you can still fly a plane even without a pilots license...as long as there is a licensed "pilot in command" on the flight anyone can fly a private plane. :)
I'm assuming they would have to also be in the left seat, but, the article didn't specify.

Years ago when I was a student pilot (single engine, land, 2-seater Cessna), the instructor would sit on the right. That was from day one of instruction. So, I'm thinking that the (licensed) pilot-in-command with you might not have to sit on the left, with the realization that the PIC could still be able to take over the controls (from the right) at any point. Those Cessnas were small enough to do that. (Then again, I did have an FAA student pilot's license, and possibly, but not sure, if that was the reason why I was given the left seat.)

However, that was years ago, so all that aside -- provided you're not attempting to take the controls in something more high performance such as (for example, a 280 hp, Mooney), I don't think the left seat would be an issue. (Also, the licensed pilot with you would still be doing the take-offs and landings (from the right seat) for quite some time, before that would be handed off to you--and even then, under perfect weather and wind conditions.)

By the way, came across an interesting article (link below) about Mooney restarting production again--and in Texas! Haven't a clue where Kerrville is from where you are, but I believe they also offer tours (I found that out from a different source). http://www.flyingmag.com/aircraft/pistons/mooney-restarts-production-kerrville

I want these boots.

Maybe I should start a GO FUND ME page, :p;)

Let me know how that works out for you. I am in need of recouping my European Adventure expense. I'm sure that would be a good way to do it. I'll just throw in there that I am only a couple weeks away from eating out of dumpsters, that should do it.
I'm not missing EO.
I didn't miss it the first time it closed and I am feeling pretty confident that I won't miss it this time either.
Yep, I think the same way. My fear, though, is HOW.
If I had your marital issues I believe that my "HOW" would be lethal injection after a murder conviction.
I think that's pretty much the thing with any of the parks...if there's only one or two things you care about, but you want to do them as many times as you can, you spend the whole day doing those things. Whereas if there's not much in that park to hold your attention, you'll be out sooner. A lot of people don't like the world showcase at Epcot....I could spend DAYS there. It's my favorite part of Disney.
I did that once, when a freakish opportunity arose that allowed me, via FP to ride Soarin 4 times in a row. That was cool but, it left me way short of time to see the other things I wanted to see. Normally to me, it's once and done. Very seldom do I have a desire to go on anything again. The only exception has been the aforementioned Soarin ride and Spaceship Earth if the crowd is light. I will ride that at least twice, maybe three times.
In that case shouldn't the last grouping be... :jawdrop::jawdrop::in pain::in pain::hungover::hungover: = Clogged Arteries

Cool, thanks for the info, Minnie!
Good to see you are back on more...! :)

Kerrville is about 100 miles west of us, just off of I-10. :)

Yep, but, there are plenty of taxes and other costs involved down here too. I've talked to convenience store owners that say their profit margins on gas are so low, the only reason to have the gas pumps is to hope folks also come in the store to buy other stuff with much higher profit margins.
Also, pay at the pump has even cut into that.

Here the taxes and whatnot on gas get factored right into the price. So they are passed right in to the costumer. The store owner doesn't have to pay any of them.
