Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Again sympathy like, OUCH Yuck I hope you heal soon

My bandage fell off while I was out today. I stuck my hand in my coat pocket and the cut got stuck on the zipper. Slusher Gusher again. I had a Sponge Bob bandage in the Glove Compartment. (Wonder how long he was in there?) He is sticking real good so I'm not taking it off until morning.

Glad to hear she's on the mend. I'm facing my first real cold snap of the season. It's bad but nowhere near as awful as last year. Low teens but the wind is howling. I've already laid out extra warm clothes for the boys.

You still are allowed to pick out their clothing for the day? :jawdrop:

I think mine were still preschool when I was cut off from that process.

sympathy like. I was like that when my bad nail was almost pulled open when I was trying to pick up my bag at MCO airport right before boarding the magical express.
lots of blood, not fun! D:

Also.. Its weird. I cant find videos of the pre-shows street parties of Universal Studios.
(where they get the characters out to dance, make music moves..etc..) before the parade.
I only managed to see part of it (the HOP one) before going to Transformers.
Also my mother claimed they were like 3 shows next to the HOP one (Dora, Sponge bob, Minions)
There is one video similar.. but the show is soo different.
I wonder if they changed it because of the light rain.

For example.. in this video.. E.B. is drumming on his float's drum set.
In my case, he had a chest big drum (bass one?) and was drumming with rhythm of different songs, not only the I want Candy one...

in other news, getting really pi****d at youtube.
Its the 4th time in a row youtube claims there is copyright infringement in my videos.

I mean.. what the hell..
The worst was the new years video at epcot.. where a CHINESE COMPANY claims they made the song.. WHAT THE HELL??
I made a dispute and the video was restored immediately.
No surprise as many of these companies do massive copyright claims where they have noone.. all to obtain the money of the ads each video generates.

My Mom grew up at the end of the great recession too. She was one of 12 kids and they were very far below the poverty line. Grandparents encouraged kids to drop out of school, get a job and help support the family. My Grandfather would take a good chunk of their earnings on payday. Most of the boys worked in the Indiana Steel Mills, most never returned home after being in the service because of my Grandfather. The girls, most didn't go with their education because 'girls only get married and pregnant so they didn't need to be in school when they could be working. 4 of the 5 girls were out of school by 8th grade. My Mom was Child #7 and she was assigned 2 younger kids, had a job and went to school. She was the first to escape the job rule and finished high school and went with her education a few years later to become a teacher. The last boy #12 was the only other child to finish high school. It was uncommon in those days but geez it stuck with my Mom and she just had two kids and married a man that could provide. We were not spoiled but we did have nice clothing, shoes etc. Toys and stuff probably much less than the kids we grew up around but I didn't notice all that until high school. And yes, both of parents are still living.

My Sis has grown into being a very generous person. She and her husband are very wealthy people. Both very career driven type people that have garnered them incredible salaries. My folks Will like your Moms is very much divide between two kids. My Mom split jewlery years ago between me and my Sis and my DD and my niece. They wear theirs. Mine sits in a safety deposit box. Doubt Sis will be a pain when they pass. Different times now. Amen. What they need to do now in their 80's is to put it in a trust. A concept lost on them.
Wow....12. Yikes. My mom was only one of 3. Her two older brothers were 10 and 13 years older than her..she was kind of a surprise. And her father died when she was 2, so her brothers kind of filled that role a bit for her, as well as her uncles. But in those days, the man was supposed to be the bread winner, so without a man in the house, they didn't have much either. I suspect my mother learned how to be frugal from HER mother. But she saw when my dad's dad passed away that siblings tend to get nasty with each other over the things they want....my father and his brother and sister fought like cats and dogs over things they didn't even want, just to keep the others from having it. Mom didn't want that with my brother and I...so we had to play nice or we got nothing. My brother wanted all the valuable things and I wanted all the sentimental things, and then there were a few things my mom had specifically said she wanted me to have, or my brother to have, so there was not much that we disagreed on.

I miss Wild Oats! Now they are Whole Foods.
I never knew them as that. I have a great health food store and my Wegman's is also great for hard to find items. My Shoprite has gotten much better with having unusual veggies so I've been buying quite of bit from them also. So I almost never go into Whole Foods. I have noticed Walmart and Sam's has started carrying a lot of Wild Oats Organic products lately
