I hope you got a good night's sleep. We always take at least 4 days after a vacation to unwind, grab groceries and do NOTHING! Except me I get back on the exercise wagon the day after we pull into our driveway. Well that and get my nails done
unfortunately, cannot do that. I just got back to work.

Some of these guys really depend on me.. they are (dont tell them) kinda useless in tech stuff.

I'm afraid to have the eye procedure done.

1) I would hate seeing what the doctors are doing

2) Slim chance you can go blind

I hate carry my glass case to theme park. Taking them off, putting them in the case then putting it back on again. Same thing at the gym. I can't workout with glasses on so my eyes can see but everything afar is blurry.

Ditto. Except the gym part, since I don't go. :) And I don't hate having to take them off/put them back on. It's just an automatic action now.

Do you remember when gas went to 50 cents a gallon?

Yes I do , as a matter of fact...! :jawdrop: ;) :)
I remember panicking when it went to 50 cents. We lived 20 miles from work and that was two of us, in separate directions. I laid awake nights trying to figure out how we were going to pay for it.

When I got my first car, gasoline was 29.9 cents per gallon. That I had the budget to cover. Almost twice that amount called for creative cost cutting.
I have always wanted to visit NOLA. I'm now thinking our 50 anniversary should be something other than Disney. I just can't decide where, as we have been many places due to hubby's work. I'm looking at Austin, I love the river walk, or Nola, never have been there. I can't do Europe by plane, I have leg circulation problems. We are close to Yellowstone, but hubby says the hotels there are not the best. He had mice running around in his sink at night!:hilarious:
If y'all have never been there y'all should do it at least once. It's really a neat city in so many ways.
Aside from the French Quarter, there's the Garden District, plenty of great places to eat, music, bus tours, boat tours, etc., and much more. We wanna' go back again in the next few years...! :)
By all means @betty rose, go... but, might I warn you that New Orleans (especially the French Quarter) is like nothing you have ever seen anywhere else on the planet. I found it fun and certainly a little wild, but, I've known others that were raised in a much different way that were positively shocked at the stuff that they saw there. Not evil, in my mind, just not something one is used to witnessing. It ain't no Walt Disney World, but, with the right attitude, it is a ton of fun.

Unless one has a medical reason that prevents them someone from using them, I recommend getting contact lenses. The now are soft and comfortable to the point that you don't even remember you have them. They correct your vision better then glasses do and you don't have to put them on and off. I used them swimming, eyes open underwater, everywhere and never had a single problem with them. I stopped when I needed reading glasses. I figured that if I had to drag glasses around with me anyway, I might just as well wear my glasses. I went back to contacts when I started having problems with the cataracts because I could see so much better with them in. They cut down on the additional light infraction caused by glass lenses. Just a thought! They cost a little more, but, I found out with this recent procedure that you really can't put a price on good vision.

Me too! Me too! Me too!

I could spend a day in Audubon Park across from Tulane, in the Garden District. If I took Walt to Audubon no Park would ever be the same again.
