I came from a very rich town, with a few families that controlled everything. They would never approve uniforms, as they wanted their kids to come to school in the most expensive clothes and shoes. I had a friend in grade school, the Miller family they owned our town as they started Cummins Engine Company. They are the big engines in most Trucks. Any way she was sent to a "finishing school in middle school"...When she returned, she acted as if she had never met me. This is the reason hubby and I moved to a big city. No one judges each other based on dollar worth.

I grew up in a town that was higher middle class to wealthy. I actually grew up 3 blocks from Hillary. She grew up on one of the most charming blocks in our town, not the wealthiest but very classy. The vast majority of us, me included attended some type of finishing school or instruction. It wasn't as obnoxious as it sounds. I came from a very laid back type of family that was anything but pretentious.

We were taught all things social along with dating safeguards, formal dancing and dining; polite social conversation which many young teens tend to lack. Somethings were more pretentious, like how a lady sits in a chair, how to properly be seated however I've been in some very formal situations where what I was taught about-when to start to eat and finish came in handy. Do I live my normal life like this, no. Still we have been to some very formal events and it never is a bad thing to know the social graces. Me, I'm happier with a Dixie Plate at an outdoor BBQ. My Sis is constantly at formal events and has used her Finishing more than I have. She attended one of the integral balls for the Clintons on an odd chance of a lifetime. Still I can see when an obnoxiously well off kid sent off to boarding finishing school would come back with a sense of superiority. One of my DD friends from young was sent off to boarding finishing school. Her Dad and entire family owns many many McDonalds. The Dad is a twit, new money with little class, his wife from the wrong side of the tracks. All the kids went off to Europe for Finishing School. The parents should have attended with them.

Hahaaa...!
This is only about the third time we've ever bought lottery tickets, scratch-off or otherwise. I put $2 into our office pool, and DWifey and I just bought 3 quick picks, plus 2 she wrote the numbers in on.
I know, a tax on morons, but, hey, when the jackpot gets this high, I don't have a problem bein' a little moron-ish...! :D :cyclops: ;) :)

I caved too. I bought one Mega which was high and one for this one. $3 It is a nice $3 daydream.

I need to win the powerball to afford these....hubby would not let me spend this much. :jawdrop::p

I look at pillows the same way as I do a mattress. You spend a chunk of each day using them. Rest reflects how you are the following day. They all last a long time. We spend equal money on things that don't last and mean little a few days later. I have 4 amazing pillows for what less than a dinner at the Cali Grill would cost me. Perspective. And I like the Wave.
