I've been dreading not being able to take my pillow this time. You can only take one personal item and I'll have my laptop. I'm already going to have to shove my purse in my carry on. Nice to know that they should have squishy pillows at Disney.
Couldn't you stuff it in your shirt or under your jacket and just pretend that you are 1) Pregnant or 2) overdid Christmas dinner just a little.

I remember when gas was 29 cents a gallon, with yellow or green stamps. That you could redeem for appliances. Toasters, irons, or dish ware. My Mom and other Mom's saved these. I remember helping her lick the stamps to go into those "valuable" books.
I barely remember those but I do remember my grandmother saying she bought her dishes with those.

Too bad that you can't go solo, but it is good that you will able to go with your daughter? When are you thinking of going in the summer? We are going in late June/early July.

Isn't mostly good news that jerk face is moving out?! Did he give a date? We should have a virtual party on that date. Bad news that he is being so greedy about custody, hopefully in the in end it all works out in your favor.

I'm thinking either late June, since school gets out June 23, or mid-August. I'll be sure to let you know once I figure it out! :)

True, it is mostly great that he's moving out. It was supposed to be this weekend, but he pushed it back until the following week. :grumpy:

So I've just got finished watching Cinderella and it gave me a perfect idea for what a Live-Action version of The Aristocats would be like. I'm imagining the Live-Action version of The Aristocats to give more focus on Madame Adelaide the owner of Duchess and her kittens. The start of the film will show a Madame Adelaide when she was younger and how she developed her love for cats and how she gotten Duchess. This version will go more in depth on why Edgar wants to get rid of the cats and why he wants money. But that's just my ideas, but these might change if an actual Live-Action version of The Aristocats ever get made.

I think your idea would make a fabulous Disney movie!

@donaldtoo have you ever thought about getting your own pilot's license?

Oh my, yes. Many, many times over the years.
The main reasons I've never seriously pursued it are cost and time involved.
Plus, I have a heart condition called supraventricular tachycardia. In an instant, and out of nowhere, my heart rate can jump to well above 200 bpm. I've been in the ER twice when it was at 215 bpm and 230 bpm.
Had the first episode in my early 30's. I had no clue what the heck was going on. In the ER, they had to administer through IV an antiarrythmic called adenosine to knock my heart rate back down. Craziest darn feeling...it basically flatlines you for a few seconds so that the heart can then resume a normal rhythm.
They told me it would get worse over time and that I would eventually need heart ablation surgery to correct it.
After that, I started carrying around a prescription med called verapamil to take in case of an event. It has kept me from ER visits a few times.
Crazy thing is, despite what the docs said, the frequency of these events has actually substantially lessened over time. The last time I had an event (knock on wood - my head ;)) was about 8 years ago. And, although I've never lost consciousness during an event, the lightheadedness and a straining feeling on the body is quite unnerving.
Anyway, if I ever see myself getting close to having the money or time to go for a pilots license, the first thing I'll do is research the heart condition thing.
I still have dreams about flying all the time.
It would be about the coolest thing in the world if I could someday get a pilots license...! :)

ETA: thrill rides and such have all been doc approved. Apparently, that stuff has no bearing on the condition...! :)

I used to have irregular heartbeats frequently, so I can understand a bit what you go through. I don't think it ever got as high as yours, though! But I get that straining feeling, too. And like you, it's lessened over time, although my father also has a heart condition and he had something implanted to regulate it (I forget what it's called). Hopefully you never need to go back to the ER!

That was great luck! I spent a lot of time in detention, for chewing gum, and talking in class. I did get my homework finished there. Mom was annoyed that she had to pick me up and hour later.;)
One of my favorite stories about my dad was he was in elementary school and they had the old fliptop desks. He was making homemade firecrackers and one went off. He was busted by the smoke coming out of the cracks. :joyfull:

Yep, the whole ride of an episode is so crazy. Comes out of nowhere. The lightheadedness, the straining, and the "Seriously?! Right NOW...?!?!?!?!" feeling.
And, yes, thanks. I like to avoid the ER as much as possible. ;)

So glad to hear yours has lessened over time, too, and that your pop has had his condition corrected! Gotta' love (most ;)) modern medical science...! :)

Thank you, I always felt that Madame Adelaide would be a perfect character to be focused in a Live-Action version of the film.

If the movie was made back in the 70s, I think Marcia Wallace would have been a good candidate to play her. :)

I don't recall ever having detention which probably explains why I have those "too tight headaches" from the HALO.:angelic:
I got detentions for leaving school early my jr and sr years. Our high school was built in the late 1920s and the windows on the main floor were low to the ground. I had gym (which I hated) last so my friend and I would climb out the locker room window and walk home.
