I moved...that's why I'm 500 thousand pages behind, My grandparents house that they never updated. Still the same 45 minute drive to work even though it's a little farther. I need a job closer to me one day. Between trying to clean the house still, trying to find a gym to go that's cheap month to month because I don't know how long I'll stay. I might do LA Fitness but I heard the one near my house was horrible but it's near my house so it's convenient.

The house should be ready by Christmas cleaning wise.....boxes to throw out. Things to buy (I did buy free shipping Disney Store and Disney App...not all for the house). I got tape off the floor (goo gone) so I have a to re mop. Blah. I'm behind. It would be nice if I didn't have to go into work.

I just tried to get my information on american airline's website.. and they said my flight was canceled.. and I'm now.. WHAT THE HELL.
We were charged, and not got any call at all!
not email.. nothing!!!

Can you imagine if We lose this flight? my entire plans will be destroyed :/

and DVC do not accept refunds!!!

But, but, they were actual monkeys and in this case were warriors. How could that be politically incorrect in that context? Many words have double meanings, but, that doesn't mean that there was any intent to belittle anyone by calling them by their actual name. However, I have never seen The Wiz so I'm just guessing and curious I guess.

The Wiz is basically a two hour statement of the times and it is fabulous. I think you really have to see it to understand. They take jungle monkeys who are kind of comical, pathetic characters in WOZ and turn them into kickass warriors.

I don't think they were saying that WOZ was trying to belittle anyone. I think they were using those characters to make a statement about society and reclaim power for the oppressed.

Like I said, I don't think it was about being politically correct at all. A lot of the musical could actually be taken as offensive. It pushes the envelope, especially for that time period.

I've got numb areas too. And some of my skin is black. But, I was lucky....I put the area back in place. And bandaged tight. It looks like it is starting to stick together. I wouldn't recommend my treatment, but I'm one tough cookie. I expect it will be hard when my "time" comes. As I've said before my Aunt's lived to 100 or close to it. We are a stubborn bunch!

Oh Bets, you probably should have had stitches. That sounds like a bad cut. I am glad it seems to be healing now though.

I think that the meaning of the Wiz was much more obvious to those who watched it decades ago when it was first released. Now, we come into it with a different perspective, knowing what we know now about political correctness and sensitivity to minorities.

no, but I got all the ticketing and papers from American Airlines(Us Airways in fact, right before the final merge)

now the scary part. the AA supervisor claimed that someone has to pay the changes.. which is around 250 USD a piece (per person).
That needs to be paid either by edreams or AA depending on who did the mistake of canceling my flight.

The annoyance is worse, because I had already paid DELUXE seats in 2 of the flight parts.

And since the new peso vs dollar parity has changed A LOT.... and the fact the flights were getting full..
There might not be any space left when this thing is resolved!

And if I rebook.. the price might be way more expensive than what I paid ( I paid 24,000 pesos back in June, now a similar flight on the cheapest airline, which is continental right now, costs 35,000 pesos, a hike of almost 50%).

so the odds are NOT in my favour.
I am extremely lucky I'm paranoid and decided to check out everything to prevent any mistakes.
Can you imagined if I went to the AA counter at the airport, right on the day of the flight. and they told me that my reservation was "canceled" ???

So the flight wasn't cancelled but someone cancelled your reservation? That really is awful.

We pay by the litre so the whole gallon thing confuses me. I do know that gas usually seems much cheaper in the States, though. I think we have a lot more taxes added into our fuel costs.

ok, I can confirm that someone is trying to sabotage me and its not funny.
I just found that my universal hotel was also canceled.
Why noone calls me, informs me or gives me any information of why they are being canceled?

I'm pretty sure that my other reservations are safe, I am constantly monitoring them.
but someone already f*ked me badly in 2 things, one of them critical: The airline.

What the heck, in the morning the news was reported that day it was reported that a barrel of oil price had dropped to the lowest price in a decade. So they raised the price of gasoline. Yup.

I know I'm so far behind but I ordered five things from Toys R Us and it took two days, ordered A LOT from Bath and Body Works and it took a week. I ordered nine things from Wal-Mart and the order came in SIX different packages. That's crazy.

toysrus.com has free shipping after you spend $19. That was easy breezy. (Legos )

I hope Walmart didn't charge extra shipping because they divided it up into so many packages!!! Where I work, we have to try to get it all into ONE package. Sometimes it's not possible, like if someone orders 10 pairs of shoes or 6 winter coats, but I don't think we've ever had to use more than 2 boxes for an order!!

Your philosophy is the same as mine. If family want to show ...fine, if they don't...fine. They miss out. I'd rather have anyone who really wants to be somewhere else be there than be around someone grumpy. On Christmas Eve my sister has gone to having an early evening open house for family and her kids boyfriend/girlfriends (she has teens/20 somethings) and she has sloppy joes and all the fixins for dinner. The pizza idea is a good one.

I agree if they want to be somewhere else, then be somewhere else, BUT I want to know ahead of time. I don't want you to accept the invitation and then NOT come when I've planned for you to be there and spent the money on dinner for extra people. It's inconsiderate to not come when you said you would. However, if the parents accepted on their grown up children's behalf, then it's the parents being inconsiderate. You can't make plans for other grown-up people.
