Hubby and I are going out to eat with the kids and grandkids. Then starting our Christmas shopping. Buying cards to send. I'm hoping to get inspired about Christmas. It's coming faster than I want. Maybe it's because advertising for Christmas started so early this year.

That sounds like fun! I'm almost done shopping only 3 things left to get. I'm hoping to find 2 on sale and the other is a gift card for my inlaws they have what they want narrowed down to 2 stores, so I'm just waiting for them to let me know where to get it.

Not to live in your house! Our HOA says no farm animals allowed! That cracked me up, we live in a city!

Not in the house, but I hear of lots of people keeping chickens now in cities.

My folks knew I would never take care of my horse nor was it realistic given how tiny I was. He couldn't have lived in the yard anyways, not zoned for all that at my folks. So my horse lived at my Dads friends farm and they took care of him and also got to ride him cause I didn't get to do that daily.

My DD has a work around for can't keep horses at the house. She now looks at horse farms down state. And in Wyoming. By the way, she is 12. And I have no desire to spend my time taking care of horses. So, she brings up boarding it where she rides. No horse until after college.

I use to watch a lot of the Food Channel shows. Then they on a whole got ridiculous or scripted. I also had little tolerance for Chef's whose premise was to be mean and insulting to restaurateurs in trouble. I don't garner any enjoyment out of people in power belittling others or being nasty to their staff. Fake or not I didn't find it pleasant so I don't watch the channel anymore. Originally before too many of them got big heads over pride they had some good ideas and techniques you could walk away with.

We still enjoy Food Channel. Hoping to see Duff on Sunday!

I like some of the shows too. I've found the Kitchen, to be fun to watch, and has some good tips. I loved their slow cooker hacks.

I try real hard not to think about what happens in restaurant kitchens. The WDW inspection reports use to be posted online for restaurant inspections. I stopped reading them.

The cruises one is terrifying as well.

you really need an electric knife to carve a turkey?
hubby needs to recover his manly man(tm) status, and do it by hand!

I had to quit watching Gordon Ramsay, made me not want to eat out!

I know, so many violations.. specially when they have the equipment failing and putrefactive food was spilling on "good" food that was being served

Thanks, I'm not much of a meat eater, and I like my turkey sliced paper thin, so it's easier done with an electric knife. xoxo

We saw a little of the parade taping today and this looks like backdrop for singers. Also had pot roast Mac and cheese and BBQ chicken mac and cheese both were really good.
