So sorry that has happened. Those are historical monuments. What is the matter with people? I want things preserved for future generations. So sad.
its just, people refuse to follow the most basic recomendations.
like.. "use the rope to climb, lean back to go down".

The worse was when 5+ people died, because one fat guy in the top was drunk, lost his balance, and bowled people down.
That pyramid had a very enclosed (pyramid inside a pyramid) pathway upwards. So the guys below could do nothing but try to stop the rolling man down.
It was still annoying when guests complained when Mexico issued warnings to people who are not in shape to climb in that dangerous stairs area.
So they just decided to close it down for everyone and now noone can see the inner parts of the pyramid.
Unsure if they have opened it again.
These close and open patterns happen almost every year. In all pyramids.(there are warnings everywhere about climbing)

Entrance to the inner pyramid: http://blog.valladolid.mx/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/cq5dam.web_.1280.1280.jpeg (note the door right behind the big stairway on the left)
the center looks like this (technically a pyramid inside a pyramid): http://www.delange.org/ChichenItza/ci41.jpg

Very nice blog aobut the place:

We're thinking about going to Morrimoto's for our fancy meal. The current plan may be to go on a day we won't be going to any park so we won't have to rush. We all watched Iron Chef back in the day and always wanted to try one of his restaurants so Disney is a good excuse to go. We're also going to T Rex as it looks like fun.

Yea, we also watched pretty much every Iron Chef and Iron Chef America episode that ever aired.

As far as T-Rex goes, we've loved it both times we've eaten there!
For the carnivores in your family, I recommend my favorite...the Triasic Trio...sirloin steak, shrimp skewer on a bed of rice, and bay scallops in a cheesy sauce...! :hungry:
And also, if they still have the herbivore and carnivore t-shirts in the gift shop, there pretty cute. Oldest DD and her then fiancé (he proposed to her in front of Cinderella Castle a few days later on her 21st b-day) picked them up on our first time eating there in July of '12...! :)

I hope this is a really good aquarium. Some are better than others. I enjoy watching different species swim around; it's fascinating that so many of them swim together, yet they don't bump into one another. How in heck they pull that one off, I could never figure out!!
wow, thanks for reminding me.
I really loved The Aquarium restaurant at Houston.

Sympathy like.

Yesterday it did nothing but rain here. Shoes ended up soaked. Migraine set in later (thanks to some chai tea and two excedrin, it never got bad). Normally I go to my religious meeting after school. I said, "Forget it" and came home. It stirred up everything, allergies, asthma, migraines. Came home, took two Benadryl and went to bed.

Ugh! My allergies kicked up again and so have my DDs. She was doing that coughing thing so bad this morning I think she pulled some muscles. Good call skipping the meeting, you know your own signs.

Different in every state, but in MA, if you do have to show up on your appointed date, that is considered having served (regardless of whether or not you get put on a jury, or get sent home). As long as you show up, they can't call you back for 3 years. However, in my case, where the courts cancelled all jurors for tomorrow, they still consider it fulfilling your obligation, even though you don't have to come in. BUT, they only let you off the hook for a year in my (cancelled) situation, versus 3 years in the other actual "served" scenario.
I haven't gotten called in yet, but here they only call you in about every five years at most. My mom got called two years ago and the last time she had gotten called, she got out of it because she was nine months pregnant with my brother.

What I don't get, here at least, is why they insist on keeping you when there's either no way 1. you would get chosen or 2. you would be able to fulfill the obligation. I had a teacher one time who had to argue with them because they wanted to place her on a jury, and the case would have taken weeks and weeks. She told them, "Look, if I can't be with my classes, this is an issue." They let her off, but still. They've also kept both of my parents there 9-5 recently. With my dad being an attorney, no way would either of them get picked, so what is the point other than wasting their time? Yes, it is a civil duty, but still.
