The sun came out, and the streets are all clear now. We stayed in and had our early Thanksgiving, for hubby and I. Now, my nap is coming soon with mashed potatoes, and turkey.

I don't mind Dominos, but the pizzas here are different and not as good as in the states. The best pizza I ever had wasn't from a chain...it was a place in my mom's hometown, Dundee Illinois. Massi's pizza. They changed hands over a decade ago, and it's not the same, but when I was a little girl, whenever we'd go to Illinois, we'd go to Massi's and my uncle would get me to eat more and more by saying "Well, do you have room for dessert? If you have room for dessert, you have room for pizza! One more piece and you can have a Popsicle when we get home." And we'd get back to their house and he'd tell me we were out of Popsicles. Sometimes he'd walk us down the street to the Dairy Queen to get ice cream, though. Good memories.

I would much rather have Dairy Queen. Wish I could eat it !

Yum...Turkey sounds delicious. I could go for some of that right now. I'm on my own for dinner tonight though so leftovers for me.

unless you want to fall down (being serious.. most of the big pyramids in mexico have been now locked down. Because many tourists fall down. )

So sorry that has happened. Those are historical monuments. What is the matter with people? I want things preserved for future generations. So sad.

Just wanted to say thank you to you all for letting me be part of your little thread and for being kind. I have really enjoyed coming here and you brighten up my day. I often feel isolated from other people because we live far away from friends and family, so it's nice to have people just to chat with.

Going out on a little date with my hubby soon - a late dinner. I have a day off tomorrow so I might even order a glass of wine.

We're going to an event this Friday night at the Long Island Aquarium called Fish and Sips where they have like 20 or more wineries with booths. They give you a glass at the door and you sip all night. So, I guess on Friday I'm just having "a glass" of wine too.

Except for that pyramid in the great horror novel and terrible horror movie, The Ruins, where the plants eat you alive. I hear that one is open for business.

Yeah it's so much fun. They do a package with a hotel right next door so there is no driving. It's from 7 to 10:30 and right around 10 you start hearing people dropping their wine glasses all over the place. Amateurs.
