How about (not together, but some ideas): cottage cheese, finely ground up, very mini bits of beef in tomato sauce (the sauce would soften the cooked, ground beef even more) and eat that with your mashed potatoes, peanut butter (small amounts--careful if not on a little piece of soft bread with it and something to drink with that), ice cream, frozen yogurt, regular yogurt, scrambled eggs, egg salad with some little pieces of soft bread, any kind of smoothie in a blender, any kind of pudding, Jello, and seedless jam or jelly on soft pieces of bread. Those are just a few ideas. :)
I like all these ideas, I'll keep them handy for when all my teeth fall out! ;):joyfull:

Jack hates anything put on him. He'll paw and bite whatever it is, until it comes off! His attitude is, "I'm not dressing up for humans. Just give me the treats!!" :hilarious:
Yes, Freddy was the same way. Poor little guy had a lump taken off near his ear. He had to wear one of those satellite looking plastic collars. It was so funny, he hated it at first then accepted it was what he had to wear for a couple weeks. He went crazy when we put it on and crazy when we took it off.

I would have been okay with getting tickets a few days later. Hubby is the one who wants/needs to see it opening day, so I figured what they heck I might as well see it then. I remember camping out for various other lines for things, and it was fun but no thanks for me now. I like to plan ahead. :) I can see how changing schedules might mess up the planning ahead though.

By the way, my husband currently has tickets for three viewing of Star Wars. One showing with me and two back to back showings with his best friend from high school. I really can't say anything about it because I am equally obsessed with Disney.
That's a good marriage . Accepting each's obsessions. I'm lucky , hubby and I are both Disney fans.

I am going to give this a try! I've been looking for a substitute for mashed potatoes. Mostly because they seem like more effort than they are worth for a typical weeknight meal.
I buy the instant mashed potato's in the cup Idahoan , instead of water I use a milk substitute, and real butter (I can't have real milk). Stir really well add salt and pepper, really good! Add more milk or butter if too dry whip with a spoon. I have these about every two weeks. Great for two people. Betty Crocker is not the same, and Idahoan has several different flavors, I just prefer the "butter" ones! High calorie though. So only once in a while for me. Or I'm in a pinch for a quick side. I always have these in the pantry. They also come in a bag, and serves 4, I think.

Thanks for asking! Yes, he LOVES his new dog food (Nature's Recipe, grain free, salmon & sweet potato, etc.), and we mix it with some of the regular Pedigree. He eats everything now, and he's in good physical shape, so we lucked out. Whew . . .
I'm so glad to hear he is doing well. I always hate when anyone in the family is sick. Including the 4 legged ones!

Yes, I use these from time to time too and quite like them. But I worry about the calories and ingredients.

I love halloween.

Here is one for you. I never tended to snub events planned for during work hours. I usually went with the flow.

Here is my favorite treat to bring. I buy from the grocer pea snaps, celery sticks and carrot sticks already sliced up and a package of clear cups along with a bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. Squirt some Ranch in bottom of cup, drop in a 2 of each veggies and done. Offsets all the sweet stuff brought in, they are always gone. Cheap, healthy and portable.
I'm going to "Borrow" this idea. I love it! Recipe, and costume.
