Sympathy like. Believe me, I know how expensive vets can be, and if she's not in any pain and it's just part of the aging process, I wouldn't bother taking her back to the vet at this point. (I recall about a month ago we took our dog for some blood tests, etc. at the vet, and the bill was $500!! I nearly screamed when I saw the bill.) :jawdrop:

I like that bed in your link. That might be a reasonable solution for now and perhaps worth a try.

You guys don't even wanna' know how much we've spent at vets over the years.
Come to think of it, I don't even wanna' know...! ;)

I hope you and Wifey are doing well. How is Pop? Getting stronger every day, I hope as with all of you.

Thank you, Bets! :)
Pop is doing very well, and so are we all!
Friday night we went to dinner with some friends. They have a new bundle of joy. DWifey used to work with her at Payless shoes. He's in his early 40's, and she's in her late 30's. Kinda' a "surprise", the little bundle was. ;)
We had a great visit with all of our kiddos (they now have 3, as well). :)
Chilled Saturday.
Sunday we did the National Down Syndrome Society Buddy Walk. Oldest DD is a teacher at The Rise School of Austin. It is an inclusive learning environment. Kiddos with disabilities, kiddos without. Many of her students were at the walk. A great time for a great cause...! :)

I'm glad y'all had a great trip! :)
And, January is right around the corner for y'all...!!! :joyfull: :)

Yep, I pretty much like all of those silly ones. Airplane, The Naked Gun, Hot Shots, Top Secret, etc..
When Airplane came out in '80, we went back to see it again the next night just to make sure we caught all the one-liners...!!! :hilarious: A true Classic!...! ;) :)
Airplane! is probably the only comedy movie I truly love. It's just so brilliantly funny, much unlike "comedy" movies of today that try way too hard to be funny and end up failing to do so.

So... has anybody here seen the movie Cats Don't Dance. No? Didn't think so, it's extremely obscure. For those who don't know, it's an animated movie about a cat who goes to Hollywood in its golden age to be a big movie star. It has a superb soundtrack and choreography by Gene Kelly. Unfortunately when it was first released in 1997, Warner Bros. did not advertise it at all and the movie ended up having an original theater run that was two weeks long.

I love my electric blanket. Hubby prefers to be cooler when he sleeps so we have a dual control king size electric blanket. I use mine constantly in the winter, I don't think he has ever turned on his side of the controls!

Hahaaa...!
Yep, as I've posted before, the only time DWifey and I ever agreed on the thermostat (central heat/air) setting was when she was pregnant with our kiddos...! :hilarious: :)

Hubby just purchased tickets for us to the opening night of Star Wars at a local theater. He is as giddy as a school boy! Now he is anxiously awaiting the preview of Star Wars during Monday night football. I think he will probably make me watch at least 3 times.:)
Thinking I'll probably take my brother to go see that one. I've only got one friend who is a Star Wars fan and she promised to go with her roommate to see it. Maybe on the day it comes out as long as I can get tickets. Thankfully, the semester will be over by that point.

On a yuckier note, I have had a migraine headache for three days. This hasn't happened in a very long time. Yesterday and Friday it lessened to a regular kind of headache for much of the day and would ramp up at dinner time. This morning, I woke up thinking it was gone but by lunch time it had come back with a vengeance...full strength. I can't sleep it off because every time I close my eyes I see a black spot pounding to the rhythm of my pulse. So for now, I am just laying back, browsing the boards, trying to relax. If it is still here tomorrow, I'm going to have to go to the clinic.

Oh my. Sympathy like.
I know I'm more than a day behind, but, I hope you got some relief by now.

Curious: what happened to your son when he was 14 month old, that the paramedics had to help him? Was it the excitement of Mickey Mouse? ;)

Oy what a day.

He learned to barely walk the day before our trip. I dropped him off at my Moms that evening so I could pack and he spent the night. She was having such a kick out him walking that she let him walk around her driveway. He fell and clunked his forehead and as most infants had a big knot on his forehead. She drove the three of us the next morning to airport. He on a pretty steep path in a little shaded area that afternoon at Down Town Disney (that I can still picture in my head that doesn't exist anymore near the Empress Lilly). Of course he fell and hit the same lump. I wasn't overly concerned but asked a kiosk vendor for some ice. Sad no, not allowed but pointed me to first aid where they would have ice packs. We went in and they were so nice and said just a minute....it was many minutes and I was kinda surprised. Then we saw an ambulance pull up (yes we were naive young parents at Disney) and thought oh that is why there is an emergency. The paramedics came through the door and asked about the injured guest and they pointed to my son. Dumbfounded. They looked him over real well and were so nice to him and us. After we signed no transport to hospital papers we got a freak'n ice pack. He was fine. : /

We had two other such incidents both with my DD. One when a mini arcade merrygoround slit her stomach and another at the old discovery island (the original near MK) again where she slit her skin on a sharp rock. She is also the one where she completely choked on Pixie Stick Dust in our hotel room and I had to perform the heimlich on my own (didn't call 911 CAUSE I knew what would happen.) Yep have had some interesting visits to Disney in their early childhood years. Thankfully as they grew it ended.
