If your daughter is good in science, she will go far in life. Math and science were always my worst subjects in school. I always envied the kids that had the aptitude for those subjects. Some of the most important professions (and highest paid) require people with talent in those areas. :)
Yep, math and science were issues for me too, yet so how I ended up being an engineer. Go figure.... o_O

In spring we seeded the main field with 3 different types of grass seed and then over seeded with oats to keep the weeds out (a scientific experiment). We just got the oats off and the grass hay that was underneath looks fantastic! They are coming next week to grab the straw (left over oat stalks) and then we will let all the grass grow for a few weeks and then we should be able to make a barnful of hay bales! Hopefully, no more worrying about how and where to get hay every year! :p:) Yay, doing the happy dance now! :)

We all want to be adopted by @betty rose !

Oh, and while we're on the subject of adult children, I'd also want to be able to stop by @ajrwdwgirl 's house for dinner a few nights a week (I wouldn't want to impose any more than that; plus it would give betty rose a break, from cooking dinner for me every night). I've been noticing over the past few months, how ajrwdwgirl creates some delicious meals in her kitchen. :hungry: :hungry: (I'd offer to do the dishes for her. ;) )
Awww, you guys are so nice. I wish all were my "kids". We would have so much fun! :inlove::inlove::inlove: plus many xoxo:joyfull:

Reminds me of the ones in Florida along the highways near rest stops when I was growing up. Have not driven to Florida in 30 years, wonder if they are still around???
I always loved stopping at those (shell shops, as we called them), due to a whole pile of conch shells out front. I bought one, and listened to the "ocean" using that shell, when I missed Florida. Good times, Gabe thanks for reminding me of the earlier times.

I love cupcakes, too, but not 48 at once. He even topped the number of cupcakes I've eaten in one sitting! :D (Oh, wait . . . I just reread your statement now--he wanted 48 cupcakes for all his little friends. That's different. But it changes his status; he was my hero there for a moment . . . :p )

I used to bake a pan of brownies, ice them ....and sit and eat the whole pan. Very good breakfast, with three cups of coffee,

Oh my goodness, it's better to say what she doesn't. She knows how to play everything in the brass, woodwind and percussion section. In marching band her main thing is trumpet. Our students have the opportunity to play two instruments for competition band (same for football half-times) so she plays trumpet and kettle drum. In jazz band she plays tenor sax and our school has a steel drum band so she does that too. She does a lot of camps and activities with the Canton Bluecoats of DCI (Drum Corp International).
She is very talented. Is she going to continue music, after school? Like teach, or play in an orchestra?
