I don't think it's remotely possible. The genius of the original is that it's so darn realistic. Although much to the detriment of its actors.

Definitely. It's actually good that I can experiment on my tablet. I backed everything up, but there wasn't much to backup. Only has 110 GBs of usable space (a lot for a tablet, not much for a laptop) and I haven't used all of it (most of it is movies) and I know my laptop will still work should the initial release be a bit buggy. Laptop hasn't downloaded the files yet, so it might be a while before the laptop gets the update. And I can experiment before everyone else's computers download the update.

Speaking of which, didn't tell my dad that I signed up his computer for Windows 10. I told Mom, explained everything to her, and let her explain it. She got the gist of it, that it's free and all. Evidently, he took some time to get the concept that it was free. He thought it would be free for a year, and after a year that he would have to pay $119 (not with my student discount anyway, but I digress). And he's still probably going to say he doesn't want it. My argument for it might be that he doesn't have to use Chrome; he can use Edge if he wants (I'm not telling him that until I try it first, though, and they make sure Edge doesn't have IE's bugs). My brother's laptop will get it, though. I'm sick of the complaining about the start menu missing every time one of my parents' uses it...it's not a touch screen and ergo not intuitive for Windows 8.

as far I know, what is free.. is the upgrade in the first year. you do not have to pay after that.
But if you upgrade after the "free" offer.. you will have to pay.

as for start menu.. there is always the free CLAM SHELL menu..

Man is warned by official that his BBQ smoke can't leave his property. If you can smell the BBQ from the street he is in violation.

Oh Florida! I thought Illinois was crazy.

Seems some crazy lady has been complaining about the black dude's BBQ for a looong time.
Perhaps just being an ahole neighbour.
Also, they also mentioned that the law mentions COMMERCIAL smokers and heavy duty.. not personal BBQs or grills.
So this "inspector" cant do anything and is trying to split hairs.

My friend, my condolences. Hopefully it's the kind my uncle had. He received minor treatment upon diagnosis, and then lived with it for 15 years before dying of a stroke.

And happy belated birthday. What did you get? Where did you go? And who helped you blow out those many, many, many candles?

One small side note about the Windows 10 release (can you tell I'm excited?)

Yesterday, my tablet was plugged in and refused to charge. I couldn't figure out why and was about to restart, but instead just left it.

When I looked at the date on the Windows 10 file, it was the time that my tablet refused to charge.

Just a warning to laptop/Surface users.

Windows 10 will probably need a full new firmware on all surfaces as far I know.

It really doesn't matter. No "credit" necessary. It's such a perfectly silly image. I remember finding it as a good-natured tease to a response to something from a friend on this thread. I liked the expression - or lack thereof - and the offcenterdness of the subject.
Heck, it was probably used by someone around this site before me, years ago, and I just never saw it.
I can't even keep track of how many times I've used @Cesar R M's "Alien Guy", so it's all good. We all contribute...no worries...!

Looking at the video from the lady's security camera, I could see how the smoke would be annoying, but they'd have to be BBQ-ing every day for every meal to make her "virtually a prisoner" in her own home.

Yes, I wish they didn't settle around my middle. I lost a lot of weight, being diabetic, eliminating bread, pasta...etc. Why is the fun things so bad for some of us?

Have you tried one of the low carb pastas? Like shirataki, not exactly cheap. Just make sure to rinse them well.
