This is going to be a rough week. It's supposed to be hot and humid at least through Thursday. Ugh. (I'll hibernate in the A/C at work and at home. Some people and bears, also, hibernate in the winter in warm places, but I hibernate in the summer!! )

I do that too. Ever since I was a kid I hate going out in the heat. Early morning and evening is when I go out in the summer unless I'm forced to go out during the day.

Had plans with my friend. She just left a few minutes ago. We were out this morning and then brought back lunch and were just chilling over here. We hardly get to see one another during the semester between my school schedule and her work schedule, so this is our opportunity to spend time together. Actually, I've been getting up between 8-9 pretty much every day. Last night, I fell asleep at 11:30.

Hershey was great! I was worn out on Saturday and walking around like a zombie, but it was a great day. Mid 80s temperature wise, low humidity, and the lines were pretty short. Longest we waited was 45 minutes for the newest rollercoaster; everything else was 30 minutes or less. And we brought home lots of chocolate.

I dont like to put loose stuff in my pockets.. if I go into a coaster.. they might end up flying.
call me paranoic, but I've lost stuff from pockets alone many times.
a wallet doesnt fall that easily (plus as foreign, you have to have with you either your VISA and/or passport at all times). Visas are too important to leave them loose in a pocket. I carry them fiercely protected in a kangaroo bag or in my wallet

Cargo shorts with pockets that button or Velcro shut and a coupla' small ziplock bags seems to work best for me.
Have yet to lose anything.

No. The corp. that owned all the Outbacks up here went belly up.
Ditto - Olive Garden. There's one privately owned franchise still in Quebec, I think.

must have been one hell mismanagement to ruin these two great franchises.
speaking of franchises... I read on cnn that Burger King is decimating McDonalds now.

Don't talk about such things! I have a school meeting on August 12th for just one day and but don't have to go back officially until the 24th. I'm going to hang on to summer as long as possible!

at least you guys/gals get extended vacations..
once you enter the workforce full force.. you barely have time for silly things as "vacations"

well, those are not "normal" pockets, so it doesnt count
I usually wear cargo bermudas with velcro pockets. But I hate feeling my phone wobble up and down badly. So I never put important stuff in these pockets

So, Gilligan's Island was on TV a little while ago. Now I know why The Professor was so smart (but could never get the castaways off the island, but that's another story . .. ). Anyway == The Professor had his BA from USC; his BS from UCLA, his MA from SMU, and his PhD from TCU -- at the age of fifteen!!

I love that show!

At least from August 10th- 12th is only a few hours per day. Then August 13th is more of a full work day with the Kindergarten play day with the teachers that afternoon. Then another partial set up the room day on August 14th. The following week of August 17th -21st is free unless there is more to do to my room. Then it is back to full days on August 24th- 26th leading up to the big day on the 27th of August when the kiddos come.

I'm known to go into the parks with my iphone in one pocket and tiny wallet in the other. Never lost either *knocks wood* I was sad when fannie packs went wayward. They were a good solution for Disney, perfect when my kids were small to hang onto their own stuff.

I do hear ya though, remember earlier this year when my Sis *lost* her passport in Mexico and was trapped there for 3 days and had to travel to a major city to get it replaced??? Not fun. So get that being in a foreign country. Do you really carry your passport into the parks?

If I hadn't found cargo shorts I'd still be wearin' my f a n n y pack...fashion police be darned.
I just actually like the cargo shorts better.

Unfortunately, we always go in the winter and I'm afraid that the glare from my pale legs will cause chaos in the Parks... Brings a new meaning to Blinded By The Light!

I think you've misunderstood - both of these gals are teachers. They are definitely in the workforce full force.

I do have full force employment. I am a Kindergarten Teacher. Yes I get the Summers off, but it is a full time career.

Yep, WDW makes sure that doesn't happen either, for which I'm thankful but doesn't ease the pain when they close a ride right as we're about to get on.

Cool, there is a God. I haven't stepped foot in a McDonalds in over 20 years now. It amazes me how they're so popular when their food is so c.r.a.p.p.y.
