I dont know, I just dont find him funny. Same when I see Steve Martin.
Not my taste.
another actor who definitively is an awful actor for me.. is Adam Sadler.

It's definitely a particular type of humor. I love Steve Martin, but mostly his older stuff. And I wouldn't call Adam Sandler an actor, but I do like his older movies and Hanukkah songs. Again, I'm a fan of cheesy stuff. :p

I really liked Sandler in The Wedding Singer and Spanglish.

I am ashamed to say that I have seen Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore each a couple of dozen times.
Not by choice. Although technically I wasn't tied to the chair or anything.

I really liked Wedding Singer, too, mostly for the 80s nostalgia but also the cute story line (same for 50 First Dates). I thought Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore were hilarious. Water Boy actually cracked me up, too.

You people worry for quakes lower than 5? (o_O))

Yeah we do. Not being in quake territory our structures are not built for that. Being in tornado territory our new schools are required to have storm shelters where areas not generally impacted by tornadoes in the US are not. My home owners insurance for obvious reasons do not have hurricane riders. It is all about the demographics.

We had a good meal at Walt's, every room was themed as a different land from Disneyland. We were in the Discoveryland room under a model of the nautilus.

We both had a tomato basil salad with fresh mozzarella (it was really a creamy cheese).

I had chicken with a marsala sauce

Hubby had steak

Then we hopped over to the studios to see if there were any Ratatouille fast passes left, there weren't. But the single rider line was 20 minutes compared to the 60 or more minute wait time for the regular line so we did the ride. It was awesome, it moves and it is 3-D! I really wish Disney could put something like this in Epcot in France.

Yum, that salad looks amazing! I wonder if that's actually burrata? :hungry:

I love the fountain with the champagne bottles! Such a cool effect. :cat:

View attachment 100784 Then we went back to the Sequoia Lodge to take a nap, it was hotter than we expected and kind of wore us out!
I don't know if I posted a picture of the room, but it had a nice Bambi theme to it. So here are some pictures of Sequoia Lodge. We didn't end up using the pool which I was a little bummed about but you can't do everything at Disney right?

ComicCon San Diego yesterday

The first picture reminds me of a movie. I don't remember the name of it. Christian Bale is in it and the main bad guy from National Treasure.

I believe you may be thinking of the movie Equilibrium? Although I don't remember a scene that resembles that pic.

in other news, its almost 3:00 and I'm furious.. I was watching a movie named "STATIC" and it has to be the biggest turd of a movie ever.

Its hard to describe how dumb that damn movie is.
I mean, the "characters" were so freaking stupid that I had to just turn off the movie halfway in and deleted it.
Really hate that the narrative of "terror" Movies, have to force the character to make the most dumbest decisions ever to cause them the worst effect and justify their increased predicament.

Its like "OH LOL, A BAD DUDE JUST ENTERED OUR HOUSE, LETS CLOSE ALL DOORS IN THE MOST LOUDLY POSSIBLE. BECAUSE HE TOTALLY MUST KNOW SOMEONE IS INSIDE".

"HOW ABOUT I STAND IN THE MOST EXPOSED PART OF THE GARDEN FOR TONS Of TIME FOR NO REAL REASON, AND IN THE BRIGHTEST AREA AS WELL! I MEAN.. THE BAD GUYS TOTALLY MUST KNOW IM ALIVE AND WALKING BACK TO THE HOUSE!"

No, it's about 8 hours to Durango. But, this was only 1 1/2 hours away. Still a lot of fun. Now, I have the Durango and Silverton train to do, and the Royal Gorge Train to do. I fell in love with riding on the train. So restful and peaceful!:joyfull:
I love trains. I even like commuter trains, but my favorite ride so far was Newark NJ to DC. I am not the biggest fan of 95 between those 2. Just me, my book and the sights.
