Here's pictures of our first full day at Disneyland Paris. By staying at the Sequoia Lodge we got 2 hours of Extra Magic hours in the morning for the Disneyland park. We arrived at a little before 8 am, and really the park was empty for the first hour. There were 4 rides open in Fantasyland 2 rides open in Discoveryland and then characters on Main Street (this had the most line).

At Toad Hall, it was a restaurant. It had a decent chicken sandwich (not good but more edible than the lasagna we had the night before at a quick service).

We had a good meal at Walt's, every room was themed as a different land from Disneyland. We were in the Discoveryland room under a model of the nautilus.

We both had a tomato basil salad with fresh mozzarella (it was really a creamy cheese).

I had chicken with a marsala sauce

Hubby had steak

Then we hopped over to the studios to see if there were any Ratatouille fast passes left, there weren't. But the single rider line was 20 minutes compared to the 60 or more minute wait time for the regular line so we did the ride. It was awesome, it moves and it is 3-D! I really wish Disney could put something like this in Epcot in France.

IMG_8935.JPG Then we went back to the Sequoia Lodge to take a nap, it was hotter than we expected and kind of wore us out!
I don't know if I posted a picture of the room, but it had a nice Bambi theme to it. So here are some pictures of Sequoia Lodge. We didn't end up using the pool which I was a little bummed about but you can't do everything at Disney right?

After our nap and walking around the resort we went over to the studios just to take some pictures. We ended up riding Rock n Roller coaster, which was different on the inside (no theming of LA or going to a concert, you were there to listen to them record the album). I'm not a fan of RNRC in Florida as upside down rides give me headaches but the wait time was 5 minutes, so we did it and our car had no music! That is one of the best parts of the ride, I don't know if it was just our car or every car but it was disappointing.

After the main courtyard entrance at the Studios you enter through a large soundstage that has shops and quick service and then exit by the partners statue and a mini Hollywood set and then you wander off to different parts of the park.

Looks a bit like Wilderness Lodge. That indoor/outdoor pool looks very cool; I'd be bummed if I couldn't use it too!

I was cleaning out a linen closet this week, a chore I never do. I decided to consolidate the poncho's again as we have a wide selection of these. I found several of the old yellow poncho's from both Disney MGM and the MK, a clear MK, some children's Disney Ponchos but my favorite find was my DD darker powder blue raincoat with Barney the Purple Dinosaur on it. As a preschooler she was way to short to wear a children's poncho without tripping over it so I bought her a rain jacket for Disney. She LOVED that Barney. Likely why I kept it. I stashed it right back in the poncho container. .
Barney still scares me..
After watching the spoof of Animaniacs where he seems unkillable.. brrrr.. nightmares!

After the STudios we went to the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. I can't say enough good things about this show! LOVED IT! I guess the only thing I didn't care for was the chili but it had tons of beans and I don't like beans in my chili at all, but at least the chili had good flavor. The show had cowboys, Indians, Mickey and gang, buffalo, Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, and just good fun. This is a must for DLP guests.

We were given cowboy hats.IMG_8976.JPG IMG_8978.JPG IMG_8982.JPG IMG_9004.JPG IMG_9012.JPG IMG_9053.JPG

The main food was: roast chicken, beef ribs, pork ribs, sausage, potatoes, corn bread, tortilla chips, and drinks were soda or beer. I bet you can't guess which I choose?!?

I discovered when my brother and I were on Mission: Space last January and it broke down that I would make a terrible astronaut. Much as I love Star Trek, I have no desire to actually go to space. Especially not after I saw Gravity.:in pain: Which, fyi, is a terrible movie to watch for the first time on an airplane, especially when you were intending to nap after that.
The worst part is.. gravity is exaggerated.. but pausible.
China already destroyed one of their old satellites with a similar weapon (impact missile or something like that). And created a lot of debris.
Imagine if they did it again but the satellite exploded in pieces.
It could destroy a lot of other satellites.

Some of us don't want to see picture after picture after picture of girls he finds attractive. That doesn't belong here thus the few subtle hints some members are giving him. I'm just telling it like it is.
I agree with you.
those photos might be better suitable to a personal facebook or a blog. Not in a public forum.
It makes him look kinda creepy.
Specially since it almost looks like its an obsession. Worse than we know he has some issues.

After Buffalo Bill's we went over to the Disneyland park and rode Big Thunder a couple times, Pirates, and the Indiana Jones roller coaster. The indy coaster was okay, it was kind of like Primeval whirl at AK except it didn't spin but went upside down. Then we decided to do some shopping at the World of Disney and other shops in the Disney Village.IMG_9101.JPG

The Liberty ARcade off the side going down Main Street, these were really neat and handy while traveling in the crowd at night.

While shopping I found a Launchpad McQuack! I was so excited I loved Ducktales as a kid!

At least it's the middle of the day so I shouldn't have any nightmares thinking about THAT!

I thought Gravity was a well-done, albeit exaggerated, film, just not really my cup of tea.:in pain:
