I'm one of these.. I donot like to expend more than 60 USD per person in a single meal.

You can get very decent food in Houston or my country for less than 30.

Here too. Near my Mom's there is a restaurant we frequent, a wide variety menu. With the dinner soup or salad is included along with veggies and a potato or rice. http://andrewsopenpit.com/Andrews Menu.pdf The food is alway excellent and plentiful. The ribs and chickens are cooked out on a rotisserie brick oven. Smells heavenly.

Sympathy like.

Even the place DWifey has been temping for bought the whole department she's in Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch one day, and then they took us on that fabulous Lake Austin boat cruise, with all you can eat fajitas, and an open bar (beer, wine, liquor) for the whole time.
We're not complainin' about our jobs, that's for sure.
She has a job app in for an open position at that company. Fingers crossed... XX

Good luck to your wife! Sounds like it's a good company to work for, especially the open bar part. :cat:

You have certainly had more than your share of rainy weather for quite a stretch now. However, I think it's great that you have nice, cool weather. (I miss my hoodies and will probably have to wait until mid/late September to start wearing them again.) Today is supposed to be muggy, but the rest of the week is supposed to be nicer and cooler.

I'll bet Walt enjoys his walks in cooler weather, too. Speaking of dogs, Jack decided to have a barking fit at 2:00 AM. It was probably due to some heinous crime going on outdoors, such as a squirrel walking by . . . that always sets him off. Anyway, I couldn't get back to sleep, so I'm up extra early this morning!

Oh Jack. I tend to listen to Walt when he has a certain bark, it is different than the one he generally uses. I don't think Walt looks out the window much at night. He is a sound sleeper once everyone is buttoned down for the night.

Walt loves the cold weather and especially snow. Do you ever think you and I should have had each others Pups?

Boca tov ya'll! (Good morning ya'll!)

It's 7:50am here. I had a good night's sleep.

Amazing, all my browser advertisements here on this page are in Hebrew! Lol

I'm trying to decide whether to take off for Jerusalem again in a little while. I have a 5,000 shekel check there waiting for me. And there are so many more sites to see there. But, it's already the end of the week almost (today would be the last full weekday before the weekend). I don't want to be caught in Jerusalem on a Saturday because the entire city virtually shuts down (both Jewish and Muslim faiths observe sabbath on Saturdays).

I'm seriously considering spending the weekend in Eilot. Eilot is on the southern eastern tip of the country, on the border of both Egypt and Jordan on the Red Sea and also very close to Saudia Arabia. Eilot is where Israelis go to vacation. Eilot also shares its border with Aquaba, Jordan and Taba, Egypt. I could briefly visit both those countries just to say I did! :)

Eilot is like Los Vegas without the gambling. It's a city of resort hotels and water sports. I'm so tempted....

Thank you, I hope you find a nice place.
I'm on my way back to Jerusalem now. My main mission is to pick up that check. Everything else is secondary, if time remains. I may spend tonight there and take the bus to Eliot before I get trapped in Jerusalem on Saturday, where everything will be closed!

For someone who hates buses, I must admit, Israel has a very, very efficient bus system. I am quite impressed!

I am even more impressed with...

...Jerusalem's light rail! I took that pic in the wee hours of the morning before I left the city yesterday. I rode the system twice so far and I will tell you it's smoother than flying! No bumps, quick acceleration!

Maybe no Eliot for now because I forgot to take my bathing suit. Maybe I could just buy a new one...

And I learned a new word: Ray-ga. I hear everyone using it, so I asked its meaning. It means "wait a minute". A muy importante word!

Good news and bad news!

First the good news...

Do you see that on the right? A closer look...

Those are USB charger ports. I'm on the bus to Jerusalem and those are the controls above the seat, but there's a problem! The bad news...

My charger is just one peice: Euro electric outlet to iPhone. I didn't think to bring an iPhone to USB cable with me to Jerusalem. I have plenty back in Netanya...

A bit better. I stayed up until 3 am last night and intended to sleep until 11 am or so. My friends and the cat had other ideas. So hopefully I'll get to bed at a more normal time tonight. Lunch today was at 4 pm, less because of jet lag and more because I was over at my friend's house, and she and my other friend ate earlier in the day. Probably another late dinner (it was at 10 pm past night; hopefully it will be more like 8:30 tonight). Hopefully with only 6 hours of sleep, I'll want to go to bed earlier tonight. I'm still doing some weird things thanks to jet lag..,
I'm hoping today is even better. I don't think I could ever adjust to such a big time swing as I have issues with one hour twice a yearo_O

I agree so much, every one wants a piece of "paradise" to the detriment of animals, air, water, and nature. We camped in a tent, took out trash we found, was quiet, enjoyed nature. Just reading in a tent was so nice. We only camped in Rocky Mountain campgrounds. Used the pit toilet, cooked in a already built firepit. Made sure the fire was out each evening. We went to bed at sunset with the animals. And only hiked on the trails. Tried never to disturb nature, flowers etc. It was a wonderful way to vacation. Sadly my allergies took over, the last time, we camped my face swelled to twice it's size, hard to breathe and had to go to the emergency hospital. That was the last camping for us, but I will always cherish those memories, with our young daughter, and hubby.
Sympathy like.

I think it was around 5 minutes, maybe less, my video is about 3 min and they were ringing before that. It wasn't too loud, there are two towers and they were ringing in the other tower. It did make me think of Quasimodo though.

The chocolate was amazing. I just had a piece of chocolate I bought in Paris and now I wish I bought more.
LOL every trip on our way home my dh says the same thing about the bread from the French pavilion and candy from everywhere.

DD and I had a great day at Typhoon Lagoon, though! However, we only got to go on Crush 'n' Gusher once, as she scraped her knee right after getting out of the raft and then refused to get back on. :(

So the rest of the day was spent in either the lazy river or wave pool! :)

And despite putting on lots of sunblock, my shoulders managed to get burned, but at least that was it. :cat:
Sympathy like for you and your dd.
