In the belfry (When we were out by the gargoyles, the bells rang for about 5 minutes. It was so cool!)

did he headshake? or laugh? lol
I bet the classic fat kid was the one getting scared.

anyway, you're not supposed to run from a bear or a wolf as far I know.
It will only trigger their hunting instincts and attack you.
That's what we were told when we asked about camping in Colorado. It applies to wolfs, coyotes, and mountain lions also. Stand your ground, don't look them in the eye, and make a lot of noise. If that doesn't work, fall to the ground, roll up. Hope they think you are dead! Now, that advice came many years ago, when we camped our here in the early 70's. With animals being so aggressive, today, I'm not sure of the instructions. We no longer camp, and I miss it big time!

THNX for sharing! I can't wait to go to Europe, it's on our bucket list just waiting for my baby to get older. At least I'm enjoying it with all your lovely pics!

Looks like I'm staying in tonight. I can reflect now on the past week and share stories and talk about ancient history, too.

Here's the history of Hezekiah's tunnel. A few hundred years before King Hezekiah, King David conquered Jerusalem from the Jebusites. Jerusalem was built near a water well that was outside the city walls. A shaft brought the water from the well to inside the city. King David's army strategized that if that could conquer the well, they could conquer the city by crawling through the shaft and into the city. Well, that's exactly what they did.

Fast forward 500 years later (2800 years ago), the Assyrian army was on the foothills of Jerusalem and there was fear that the Assyrians were going to advance. To avoid a situation where the Assyrians would do what King David did with the Jebusites to Jerusalem, King Hezakiah ordered the construction of a tunnel to divert the water source from outside the city walls to inside the city walls. The tunnel is the oldest known of its kind. It was chiseled out of hard bedrock and is a third of a mile long.

I'll write about my personal adventures maybe later tonight. I'll going to go on Craig's List and see what's available as far as rooms for rent now...
Thank you I'm loving your adventures.

well, they are aggressive because they hardly have space now.
developments and massive forest deforestation are affecting them in ways noone imagined before.

@StarWarsGirl95 how's the jet lag today? Hope you're back to normal.
A bit better. I stayed up until 3 am last night and intended to sleep until 11 am or so. My friends and the cat had other ideas. So hopefully I'll get to bed at a more normal time tonight. Lunch today was at 4 pm, less because of jet lag and more because I was over at my friend's house, and she and my other friend ate earlier in the day. Probably another late dinner (it was at 10 pm past night; hopefully it will be more like 8:30 tonight). Hopefully with only 6 hours of sleep, I'll want to go to bed earlier tonight. I'm still doing some weird things thanks to jet lag..,

I agree so much, every one wants a piece of "paradise" to the detriment of animals, air, water, and nature. We camped in a tent, took out trash we found, was quiet, enjoyed nature. Just reading in a tent was so nice. We only camped in Rocky Mountain campgrounds. Used the pit toilet, cooked in a already built firepit. Made sure the fire was out each evening. We went to bed at sunset with the animals. And only hiked on the trails. Tried never to disturb nature, flowers etc. It was a wonderful way to vacation. Sadly my allergies took over, the last time, we camped my face swelled to twice it's size, hard to breathe and had to go to the emergency hospital. That was the last camping for us, but I will always cherish those memories, with our young daughter, and hubby.

While Epcot never had a theme song, I always thought the tune heard for Illuminations from 8:36 - 9:29 served as the park's unofficial theme song. Especially since this was heard in the opening movie for Epcot's 30th Anniversary at D23 years ago. Am I the only person who thought this was Epcot's theme song?

Boy, I could be wrong but I don't think that soundtrack has been around all that long maybe half the lifetime of Epcot???? Maybe?

I don't know about that play dead thing. If I were one of them I would think.... Wow, a meal that I don't even have to work for. I've never seen any wild animal that would have any reason to shy away from a dead animal. There must be more to the story.
