Oh, the good old days....Not surprisingly, "nap" whilst on holiday means something altogether different to Hubby.![]()
I would love to stay there today. We bought Lego's for the grandkids, I like building with the Lego's as much as the Grandkids. Those were great babysitting years!I am impressed with the new Legoland Hotel with all the reviews, videos and photos that have spilled out from the Media event. The offerings, decor and rooms are imagineered so nicely for all those kids that are addicted to Lego's like my DD was. She would have loved staying at this resort years ago.

Legoland needed to put out there a competitive resort to make it in the Disney/Uni market and it seems they rose to challenge. They knew their target audience. The family suites are themed to nicely.
*Thinks back* to all the money spent on Lego's over those years.![]()
That looks really tasty. I'll have that and those fries, posted earlier.Half of my Jason's Deli Reuben the Great sandwich takeout...

SWG and I have been on the same side in the GAC/DAS debates against people who think the programs are too generous. But if we say things like "who needs rope drop" it will only fuel resentment against DAS and those who use it. I'm sure she got my point even though you didn't.Most of us that do not have access to a GAC/DAS count ourselves blessed.
Yes, it's June for us also, so the Grandkids and kids can come along.Other than our honeymoon in Dec. of '88 and our other Dec. of '08 trip for our 20th wedding anni., we've only ever been in June or July when it gets a bit crowded, but, is still manageable, at least to us anyway.![]()
Woo hoo. My trip countdown timer is now in the double digits!!
Hey, did I mention that I want chocolate?

My hubby and I am thankful, that we can go on our own power, we're just a little slower, and walk to the far right as most people pass us.Most of us that do not have access to a GAC/DAS count ourselves blessed.
Burgers, this year.
Her voice wasn't damaged by drugs (she'd been singing since she was really young) but I'm sure it didn't help. That strong gutsy bluesy rock voice she had was her trademark sound. There are some female singers on drugs (Whitney Houston) that had pretty voices. Janis wanted to not be compared to other female singers of her time. The unfortunate part of Janis Joplin is her voice was so damaged by drugs (and they ultimately killed her at age 27). Personally, can't get passed the voice. There have been other musicians that have had their voices damaged by drug use, but not to the same degree. I didn't realize she was only 27 when she died until I looked it up just now.
Although I prefer classic rock from the 70s in general. Aerosmith, Queen, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Eagles, etc.![]()
Agreed.I'm not positive of this but her voice was her voice from the beginning. She put all she had into singing and that might have been the bulk of the problem, but, it also was her identity. Just as Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart, Lewis Armstrong and others. They had unique sounding voices, but, they were in true tune which doesn't happen if the vocal cords are damaged by drugs.
That's a good philosophy!
Now I'm in the mood for some chocolate! The really dark stuff! (no dairy or refined sugar) gee I'm boring!I'm quite a chocolate craver too.![]()

I'd definitely choose August unless you want to spend the 4th in the park. And hopefully you won't have a freak August storm that knocks out the power. (That really happened to me and @StarWarsGirl95)ok guys! We've got 2 options for our next trip. Choice1 go June 20 something and be there through fourth of July or Choice 2 August1-18 give or take a few days. I'm thinking choice2 and it will be a smidge cheaper. What do you think? THNX
Had nothing to do with DAS. Never have done rope drop (even in DL, which I've only been to twice), and we only started using GAC/DAS two years ago.SWG and I have been on the same side in the GAC/DAS debates against people who think the programs are too generous. Yup, I think you were stuck on PeopleMover, and I was stuck under POTC. Could not move. The storms there get bad, but that one was unusual.I'd definitely choose August unless you want to spend the 4th in the park. How awesome is that feeling when you're one of the first people through the gates.I sleep in on vacation. I usually don't get up until 6am!Plenty of time to get up, get ready get the boys fed and make rope drop with time to spare. I'll feel sorry when you go to work full time. Hopefully you'll have a job where you can telecommute most days!
