My sister was an exchange student and we for the summer had one of young ladies from the family my Sis stayed with in Germany. I use that term very loosely, the young lady part. She was sent to Anderson Indiana, was so freak'n miserable there. She was also freak'n miserable at my folks house too. Ultimately we all agreed it wasn't the place, it was that she was just that miserable of a young lady. My folks and Sis were so happy to return her to Anderson.

My folks had a French foreign exchange student come stay with them for the summer one year when my younger sis was still in HS.
She had a blast here! Quite emotional when she left.

Sounds like so much fun. My kids grew up with Caddyshack. It is a classic in their eyes.

Golf and Guitar. Never heard that combo before. Bet you will enjoy the guitar part.

Yea, it's a classic, along with Animal House, Stripes, etc..

Never been there before, but, yes, will definitely enjoy the guitar part, as well as the food and mini-golf.

I'm still struggling with what to do for a dinner at HS. We want to hit Fantasmic, so we don't want to go off site to eat. Last time we were at Brown Derby, the service was pretty bad. Prime time isn't bad, but we've done that a few too many times. I quess we're going to pass on Mama Melrose too. So any other suggestions? We're takling Mom with, so we're going to pass on Dine-in Theater too... How bad is the Hollywood & Vine buffet?

Does Hollywood and Vile answer that question? I didn't even like the salads as they were....... lettuce and other greens should not be left out in a hot kitchen!

Oh, not glad to hear about the food quality. DD picked that as one of our sit down lunches.

We've eaten there 4 times and have never had a bad meal. It's not the best, but, it's never been bad, for us, anyway.

I hope your childhood malady's are behind you. And you are well. It sounds as though you had it rough.

I am alive, thats all it counts, and that was 22 years ago ( I'm 32 now)

I could go for one of those right now. I eat what I want when on vacation, watch the next few month's before going to Doc. fortunately, the Doc said everything I eat averages over the 6 month's. It's a game my Doc and I play, as he is a Disney fanatic too. How lucky can I get?

not lucky.. it means your doctor will not accept your excessive dozes of disney in your lives. Causing a cascade effect in your health

When I had it, it was.. decent.. but it was.. Hospital-Cafeteria quality.
You get fried stuff (nuggets, fish..etc..) classic pasta..etc..
nothing amazing.

I prefer Prime time's. I haven't been able to test Derby or Mama Melroses (always full )

Those memories, are from the teen years, I remember those fun times too....

My father was never a big movie fan, especially if he had to battle mosquito's to do so. The only movies he ever went to that I recall were Abbott and Costello or Martin and Lewis and The Music Man (but, that was indoors). All others went unseen.
