Question: Is it normal for horses to lay on their sides? We drove past a pasture and saw two laying on their sides. My mom said she didn't think it was normal, but I know next to nothing about horses (other than that one tried to eat my hair...) so I'm curious.
Evolutionary speaking.. the ones who can sleep standing, are superior than the ones who have to lay down.
because the ones who are in the floor, are more probable to be surprised and then get killed by predators.

*edit* nevermind, I didn't noticed someone posted the wiki article.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
probably because it lasted long?
There are some series that are average, but they ended lasting a lot.. thus they got popular.
I feel that way about Roseanne.
I never missed it during its initial run.
Watched it in syndication for a couple of years, and then got Connor-overload.

I'd now rather watch paint dry. While sitting on a chair of spikes. Naked.

As we speak, Hubby's team is playing in the Bronze medal game.
Last. Game. Of the Season! Can I get a Hallelujah?!

He should be home by 5:00.
Sleeping by myself for the past two nights has been cool. And by "cool", I mean freezing! There is no amount of blankies or any setting on my mattress heater that can replace my big, lovable furnace. :)

Yep, I really like the ones outside on either side as you're walkin' up to the entrance. :)
Me too and something I never noticed before is that there are skylights as you walk in. I saw it on someone's youtube channel.

Would that be called a skylight or an opening for the tree?

I hated The Cosby Show.
Really, really didn't like Phylicia Rashad.

Interesting fact - her second husband was the original lead singer of The Village People. You'd think she'd be a little easier going and not so uptight.

I don't care for her role as Dr. Helen Marsh in the Dinosaur ride either. She irks me.
CON-TI-NUE.

Yea I don't like her either. She comes off as a know it all. I like her sister though, Debbie Allen.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. My Mom said when she was little they had a laundry tub and an electric wringer with a double roller that they sent their clothes through before they hung them to dry. With 12 kids in the family they were taught to wash rinse and wring/hang their own clothing at a young age. She was pretty young when she didn't wring something correctly and her hand and lower arm went through the wringer.
I'm thinking that electric wringer looks like a pasta maker.

I agree with you that many people just continue on in the denomination that they were raised in. When I was in confirmation as a teenager we were actually required to go to different types of churches and attend some services so we could see the differences and we talked about other religions too. I think that was really useful in helping us see what other beliefs were and see what our ELCA church was really all about. I think people need to understand and think about what they believe and not blindly just follow along (this goes for politics too). It is amazing how similar all the Christian denominations are but some of the differences are so subtle but can make a huge difference. Heck, there are at least 4 different divisions/synods in the Lutheran Church!

Side story about the different Lutheran synod's and their differences....a guy I knew belonged to a certain Lutheran synod and married a friend of mine who belongs to the ELCA synod (like me). So when my friend's husband informed his church that he was changing his membership to the ELCA his pastor called him up and told him that if he did he would be doomed to "he double hockey sticks" because the ELCA doesn't believe in Jesus! My friend's husband was like WHAT the....?!?! and never contacted his old pastor again. This story isn't unique either, my husband has dealt with a few people in our community leaving one of the Lutheran (in a different town even than my friend's husband's original church) churches to join our ELCA church and these people have had similar threats when they left.

Oh geez, now with all this church talk I feel a little guilty now that I skipped going to church today....:angelic:
Probably just as well... any talk about religion tends to bring out the best in people. And it's one of the no no's on this board if I recall.:)

That doesn't surprise me at all.... but, what does that have to do with TV or Roseanne?

I was born in July 1974.
You don't suppose that was what was making me sick do you? Just kidding. No, I took my infant daughter to see my Grandfather (or vise versa) the day before. We got a picture of four generations, my Grandfather, Father, myself and the baby. He made us dinner. All of us, except the baby were sick as dogs the next day. So I don't think it was you. It was, however, a dinner to remember.;)

Just came to me though that my baby was already 6 months old when you were born. Ya whippersnapper you!

This made me both happy and sad at the same time. Those designs are beautiful, and years ago, people would actually stop and look at them. Now, it's a stroller parking lot heading up that ramp; but more to the point, many people just want to get inside quickly to get to Soarin. I hate the fact that they ever put Soarin in The Land pavilion; I think it ruined the laid-back atmosphere.
The past few years we've been to WDW they have made people actually use the stroller parking next to The Land and not on the ramp.

After brunch we headed out to get some family pics along the creek that winds down my old country back road to the office. SIL is a pretty darn good amateur photog, as is oldest DD.
Gettin' ready to head over to my folks for some more b-day celebrating, then over to Oldest DD and hubbies place for more cake and to check out the pics from today. :)

Out for now...
Y'all be cool...!
Laterrrrrrr...!!! :)

I was just curious since you talk often about the issues with your son, does he get wasted at WDW?
He hasn't been to Disney since grade 8.

I did very subtley mention to him that he cannot transport weed across the border.
He went berzerk and asked if I was nuts. Of course he can't take weed across the border, he has zero interest in a full cavity search.

He seemed genuinely appalled that I would even ask.
So yay, 10 days of a weed free son! Glad he's in a separate room. :)
