O.k. So I'm curious: do you have anything specific that you do on Earth Day? (Actually, I didn't even know it was coming up, until you started your countdown pix.) I'll probably do what I do anyway, on a work day. I take public transportation so I figure that helps save energy. :)
Supposedly you have to plant trees, use less energy, use public transporation.
and companies are supposed to use also less energy (by using less A/C) and even turning off lights.
governments usually just shut down the illumination for some parks/statues/monuments.

as someone who had this happen in real life (I dont think it was a wolf spider, but a similar garden one)
It definitely scaref the hell outta me when all babies flee the dead mother's back.

like a swarm of furious babies trying to get revenge from you (even if they are just trying to flee)

Me, too. Tub, sink, toilet. That's all we need! :p

Hahaaa...!
I've already told y'all about the outhouse/cane patch situation at my grandparents on my moms side. Also, when we were little, we used to take baths in a large galvanized bucket/tub with well water heated from the stove, 'cause they had no running water. In later years, we'd go take a bath or shower at one of two aunts and uncles places just down the road.
On pops side, they had running water, and a bath tub within the original footprint of the main house, and a toilet room that was later added to a screened-in back porch. Still, no running hot water, It, also, came from the stove.
Good memories of a simpler time, actually. :)

It's amazing the few people at work that order out of eat for lunch everyday. They're not getting paid a lot to live such a lifestyle either.

When I was working with food, same people came in everyday.

Was that in the Jared look at how much weight I've lost eating only Subway era?

I think you'd stand a better chance if you opted for the first choice above for Jennifer. At least if you ask her to save 2 bites before she enjoys the rest, your 2 bites should be relatively safe. However, if you expect her to stop at the end of devouring that delicious burger, and save you 2 bites, that's not going to happen! :p

Actually, she sounds more like my DWifey, whereby (as her DH does for her ;)) I usually end up finishing her last 2 (or more) bites. :)

Ha! Great picture! Yes, we did actually buy him one of those last year. The problem was that the thunderstorms last year happened mostly in the summer, during times of high heat and humidity. The Thundershirt fits slugly, and we were afraid he'd overheat in it. So we were in a bit of a Catch 22 with all this. We might try it again now that it's cooler--to get him used to it. As long as it's not really hot, I think it's a great idea. Does Walt have one?

No, Walt doesn't care about any stink'n thunderstorms, he is all about howling at the firetrucks. I have friends that have had very good luck with ThunderShirts though. It is all about the firm 'hug' if you will the Thundershirt gives that keeps them calm.

As for overheating yeah ya got to keep an eye on them but Pups have warning signs of overheating and remember dogs sweat and cool themselves only through their tongues and paw pads. When it is hot on our walks I try and walk Walt through some puddles.

I used to have a schnauzer named Toto. Every time we had a bad thunderstorm he would go jump in the bathtub and start digging.

Yikes! :jawdrop:
