I'll be interested to see if McDonald's coffee catches on. I'm OK with McDonalds coffee in a pinch but it is nothing I'd buy to brew at home or pay that price for.

Amen. I'm a coffee snob as it is. I love Starbucks dark roasts--especially Sumatra, and French Roast.

So the bridge is done....well not really just the barrier part.

The bridge people has 2 main goals: less accidents and lower speed.

Going over for the first time with this new barrier with both lanes open. They fail. Even though the lanes are narrower, people are still zooming by you. And I do 40 - 50 on a 40 mph speed limit bridge. But people are closer to you because they don't want to hit the barrier.

These are your tax dollars at work. :p

I don't know because I've never been on a ship because, to me, Titanic was not a romantic movie but a warning or premonition meant for me to stay on land. But yea, I guess you are right. However if the new system shuts off the circuit or whatever then wouldn't that new safeguard protect people?
I'm sure they could, but, if your standing there waiting for someone to come up and switch the circuit breaker back on, that might be a slight inconvenience that isn't really worth what little advantage it has. Although, we don't always know what it is, everything usually has a reason for happening. I don't know anymore then anyone else the reasons why, I just kinda of think them out, and that is the reason that I come up with. Now I guess I'll have to live with the mantle of "Cruise Ship Apologist". Oh, well... I'll muddle through it somehow!

That's apparently a recent change. 2012 it was there. But then my dad read online that it's gone now. Sucks, I got a really nice bracelet from there last time and wanted to wander some more this time.

Oh well. The Hilton Hawaiian Resort, where we're staying for five days, has more gift shops than any resort at Disney (no, I'm not kidding) so I'll have plenty of shopping.

We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village a couple times and it was a really nice resort. I love the wide stretch of beach they have and the pools & lagoon are fun too.

I know I got the Maelstrom shirt that was offered by the Disney store in the fall of 2014, wore it once and it shrunk up all strange. I might have to just make it into a pillow because I love the design.

Yep, we've had problems with some of the shirts too. The one I am most disappointed with is my zipper hoodie that was from the first 24 hour Leap Year event. The quality of the material is alright-ish, not what they once were, the zipper on the other hand is about the lowest quality it could be and that sweatshirt was expensive.
