I'm done pretty much. It's easy when I really have one person to buy for basically. My daughter never asks for a lot and her list had three things on it: The Lego Movie, a box of Reese Puffs and a ticket to see Night At The Museum 3. A big whopping $21 spent there. :greedy::joyfull: Lots of kids have a major list that goes on and on but not mine. (What other kid goes to see Santa and when he asks "What would you like?" and she answers "Whatever is convenient for you?" :) ) She loves shopping at the Dollar Store so I bought a dozen or so things from there plus the Jasmine ornament/doll. Her stocking is stuffed with travel sized items for our cruise and five Sacagawea coins. ($5 will buy her ice cream once a week at school for a month.)

She's at that age where she wants to do her own present shopping so I have something to open. A family friend takes her to lunch and they shop and wrap them up. I have to make a list for her but it's simple things like new kitchen sponges, a travel toothbrush., etc. Dollar store obviously but it gives her a feeling of responsibility. :) She bought her dad a can of beer nuts and grandma a $5 Subway gift card. My last thing I need to buy and I'm really done.

Wow she is really a great kid and a great friend to make her shopping happen. Kudos to you, you are raising a sweet kid.

I just found one of my DD Christmas Lists this month from when she was in elementary school. It had a list of about 20 things. I always had them write down what they wanted as they got older in elementary/middle school.
Then I had them number 1, 2, 3 for want value. They knew they would not get everything on the list but I needed guidance. I tucked the list back away in the same box. It brought back some good memories.

Curious George! Woot! A favorite of mine and my kids. I still have in our hallway bookcase the coffee table book of all the Curious George original books.

I found homes for most of the Children's books, most went to Merick House for underprivileged children in Cleveland, a daycare center for struggling parents, my sister sat for years on their board. George I kept.

Total waste of money. They just got a new stadium not too long ago. 1997

I'd take either. What they are doing to Wrigley Field is sad. Should have just knocked the old gal down and built a modern replica of what Wrigley is. They will spend a fortune and it will still be antiquated.

And we weren't there in the summer or during the highest of peak times. We were there in earlyish December - which was definitely more crowded than I thought it would be, but still, not Christmas week.

I sent in my two cents to the customer support group. I'm looking forward to what their response will be. More curious than anything.

Share if you get a response. Color me curious.

My Gusman - pictured in my avatar, did not like snow, at all. He was a very low rider and left winkie tracks. My Nickie would bound out the door and jump and run all over until every bit of fresh snow was distrubed. I loved watching her do that. Now, my grumpy Daisy...she hated the snow and would run out, squat and then run right back in. She only pretended to pee. They are all gone now. They lived good long lives...the oldest was Nickie who died at 18.5 years old just 5 months ago.

Good memories they bring us. All of my Dogs have loved the snow though they were all large breeds. The female golden though loved it the most. She would roll in it fresh or stale. The first useful snow to her it was nearly impossible to get her back in the house.

My Shepard, my first born ripped out her ACL completely running around like a crazy lady chasing my then 2 year old in the yard. She was a test case for a new procedure where I only had to pay the surgeons bill to my vet. It worked better than my DH ACL replacement a few years before. On the day she was to have her cast removed 3 weeks later I came home from work and she had removed her cast proudly. Called the vet he said skip the visit as she already did what needed to be done.

The library of congress has released its 25 picks of films that are at least ten years old to be entered and preserved. I'd pick 6 of them.

"13 Lakes" (2004)

"Bert Williams Lime Kiln Club Field Day" (1913)

"The Big Lebowski" (1998):

"Down Argentine Way" (1940)

"The Dragon Painter" (1919)

"Felicia" (1965)

"Ferris Bueller's Day Off' (1986):

"The Gang's All Here" (1943)

"House of Wax" (1953)

"Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport" (2000)

"Little Big Man" (1970)

"Luxo Jr." (1986)

"Moon Breath Beat" (1980)

"Please Don't Bury Me Alive!" (1976)

"The Power and the Glory" (1933)

"Rio Bravo" (1959)

"Rosemary's Baby" (1968)

"Ruggles of Red Gap" (1935)

"Saving Private Ryan" (1998)

"Shoes" (1916)

"State Fair" (1933)

"Unmasked" (1917)

"V-E + 1" (1945)

"The Way of Peace" (1947)

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (1971)
I've only seen three of those... I guess I didn't get out much back then. However, that being said, if they were to pick 25 that are less then 10 years old, I probably wouldn't be able to say I saw any of them.

Prince George holiday outfit is selling out in stores and now the little sweater and shoes are sparking bidding wars.

th

My DH never really commented on what I dressed my DS in for the holidays. Maybe cause I never put him in shorts, knee socks and dress shoes.
I will never understood that fanboyism to the royals.
I mean, having to buy exactly what the royals or "celebrities" wear and use.

I was sorting through my room and found this.

Shall we save it for posterity?

Wow, I think that's great that your party is off-site  , plus you can take a guest as well. (Think I'm just a smidge jealous, too.) I'm happy that you'll also get a Christmas bonus; you deserve that. I'll bet the White Elephant Gift Exchange will be funny! Let us know what fun gift you receive! :p

Thanks!
Hopefully, I'll remember to get some pics, tonight. :)
