I woke up at 6 thinking it was 7, realized I could sleep some more until I had to get my daughter up for school. Yeah, woke up a LOT later than planned.

This time change always screws me up. The benefit is that around 5 after the time change, I start panicking about homework because I think it's 6. Then I do a lot of homework and am done an hour or so earlier.

Who ever came up with daylight savings time is an idiot. Yes, Ben Franklin, I'm looking at you. One of your worst moves. I know the theory behind it but it baffles me.

8 a day sounds cheap, in Mexico we get charged BY CALL AND by Mb (at a 1.5 USD per MB rate on out of plan)

The problem is, How the hell I can purchase a 2,000+ usd camera in the US!!
These cameras cost 4,000 USD in Mexico (thanks to taxes and store upcharges)

I'm sure you're looking for a DSLR at those prices, but I have a Sony NEX-5R that I absolutely LOVE. Takes amazing pics and is super compact for what it does. Maybe you just need a travel camera to get you through

You could use Facetime over Wifi. It's how I talked to my parents in January without using a ton of cell phone minutes

That is what I ate for dinner too! A friend of mine at work is from Mexico and she gave me this great recipe for salsa. It is like crack, I can't stop eating it.

A little off-topic but...yesterday, on the way home from church during that freak blizzard...I started to crave Country Fried Steak, Mashed Taters, and Country Gravy...so I made a quick stop at the market to get the ingredients, and made it. And it was good, too!
