When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
So, after MILF, we used FPP @ Pirates. I love that ride.

It's not perfect though.
They are still not loading the last row in any of the boats. Blackbeard's voice is heard only, but no projection on the mist screen. And no sign of the mermaids. I know it's a subtle effect, but we rode 7 times last year, so I know what should be there.
After Pirates, we were 13 minutes too early for our Jungle Cruise FPP's, so we rode the Flying Carpets first.
Then Jungle Cruise.
We were almost an hour away from our Haunted Mansion FPP's and fading fast. We went over to check out the stand-by time (65 minutes!!!), so we decided to call it a day.

On a separate note, SDMT seemed to be down almost every time we walked by.

A quick stop at Publix, which wasn't there anymore, turned into a quick stop at Walgreen's. Purchased bottled water, 12-pack of beer and some breakfast bars.

We had a QS dinner at Pepper Market. Roasted 1/2 chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed veggies (carrots, yellow and green zucchini) and a corn muffin. Delish!
Tomorrow's dinner is at The Wave.

We took zero pics today, but I will do better tomorrow. Promise.

We are now back in the room: jammies and warm bathrobe on, and drinking my first coffee of the day.
FYI - Joffrey's coffee is awful. Gimme back my Nescrape. At least I had learned to live with it.

Sorry some things haven't gone so well. Glad to hear y'all's meal was delicious, and hope y'all are, at least, decompressing some, and looking forward to a more relaxed and leisurely rest of the trip. Sweet Disney dreams to all of y'all...!!! :)

Ha! Fading fast, no sleep and you drink coffee when you should be sleep'n. You make me laugh woman!
Public has been gone a while now. Hess near Boardwalk has reopened now. Can't wait for your review of the Wave!

One of my all-time favorite, silly flicks!
Way back when, I worked with a guy that was going to the University of Oregon when they were filming. He had an especially fond memory of the day they filmed that cafeteria scene. :)

Also, apparently Donald Sutherland still tells a story about the deal he made to be in the film. He was originally offered somethin' like $20,000 and 3% of the gross.
He countered with an up front $45,000 and no gross, 'cause he thought it wouldn't do squat.
There went several million dollars...!  :cyclops: ;) :)
Wow. That reminds me of the story my exfather in law told of being offered and his turning down his friend's offer to buy stock in a little up and coming company called Starbucks.

The coffee is for the headache. :)
I am unaffected by caffeine sleep-wise.

The Publix we used to previously visit has relocated. Still just off 192, but on the other side of the road now.
No biggie though, we didn't need much.

Just watching the news and they are reporting two interesting things:
Today was the coldest day since April something or other. Temps in the low-40's!
Also, there was a minor fire on the roof of the SDMT tonight, caused by burning embers from the fireworks.
Hoping to catch more info on this on another newscast at 11:30.

Second time quoting this post. Sorry, I missed something.

The Wave is one of our favourite restaurants. Hands down, it has been the best meal on each of our past three trips.
Might get some stiff competetion from our two signature meals this year though - Yachtsman and
Narcoossee's.

Back to MK tomorrow, going to take another shot at BOG for lunch. I just adjusted our FP times, so we can have a bit more sleep.

Hummus? Hummus sandwich? :depressed:

Lobster Roll. Lobster Roll. Lobster Roll.
Columbia-Harbour-House-lobster-roll.jpg

Yes, a hummus and slaw sandwich is really delish!! (You might like it; it's really tasty.)

I also love lobbie, but the picture above geeks me out. There is waaaayyyyyyy too much mayo on that puppy. You need to experience a REAL lobster roll up here in the Northeast--big chunks of lobbie, a little lettuce and light dressing--now, that's a lobster roll!!!

So, myself and DS were sharin' a bag of Chex Mix while watchin' the Auburn/Ol' Miss game here, just now. He started feedin' some to the dogs with his fingers. I protested, and he hit me with the ol' "Dogs mouths are cleaner than humans" line. I countered with "I buy the fact that I may, as a human, have more bacteria in my mouth than a dog, but, I guaran-darn-tee, none of it came from me lickin' myself in places a human can't reach."
That gave him pause to think...

:joyfull: :D ;) :)

So, for a change of pace, I decided to watch the local news (instead of logging on here) around 4:30 this morning. Hung out and watched tv for about an hour or so.

Guess what one of the lead "national" stories was?? The 7 Dwarfs Mine Train went on fire!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, there were fireworks from one of the shows and some cinders or whatever hit the roof, and there was a big fire!! OMG! I saw the footage (flames going up pretty high in the dark sky). The report didn't state how much damage was done yet. Oh brother . .. @JenniferS , avoid that area today. Go to a different park instead.

You had a very long day, considering all the travelling you did. (Sorry that your ears still aren't well yet.) Still, you all got in quite a bit, and I'm glad you had a good dinner. As for Joffrey's coffee, I like it, but prefer Starbucks (any dark roast) much better. I think you need a combination of strong coffee and aspirin to kick any headache. Those two in combination work quite well.

As for today, I think you'll feel better with some rest from last night, and I'm sure you'll have a fun day to look forward to! :)

Glad ya' had a good time!
Hope ya' get some rest, and feel better, soon...! :)

Thanks! Finally slept last night... still a bit jittery from the meds, but I'll take it if I get some pain relief! :) WOO HOO!!

Yeah this quote almost made me cry. I really needed to hear something like this because I have been going through some challenging friend stuff.

Sorry about the friend stuff... Just remember that you deserve the best and if your friends aren't treating you nicely, screw 'em. I struggle with my friends' negativity and constant complaining. Sometimes if there is too much negativity in your life, it spills over and effects how you see the world. It's a hard balance to be a good friend and also be good to yourself. Hope things work out for you soon!

Apparently, there was a 25 degree difference between today and yesterday.
Current temp - 12 degrees C - 54 degrees F.
High of 66 tomorrow.

Lots of people in touques, hats and winter coats at the parks. Also, lots of people bought towels and tried to use them as blankies.

This is my third November trip and ... it ... is ... cold!

IMO - Cold = Bad

It's pretty chilly here in PA - I hate this time of year... bye bye warmth. :(:grumpy:

That's crazy! I'm going to go look for a vid now... It's also crazy that you didn't go here this morning, but still got your dose of WDW on the news!

In hindsight, I should have made these different posts... I'm all over the place this morning. Blaming it on the time change, as I will do for everything today! :p

It wasn't that big, was put out quickly and the ride opened again not long after it was put out. Can we say oversensationalized media? o_O:facepalm:

You know it's cold when the water parks close. :cold: Glad you having a well-deserved vacation though.
