My stupid doctor is joining a concierge model. I'm sure he will get enough people to pay $2500 a year that he wants with his company but damn, what a horrible way to have to get a new doctor.

Europeans and others must look at us and laugh.
Coincerge doctors , we know one who is our neighbor enjoys his role even more. Higher earnings and less patients to care for and more time with them. But also a nice part is more time away from work to go on vacations etc.

Travel reimbursement has been one of my accounts that I've managed in the past and I also think it's absurd. It's public transportation, not a limo. Especially in an area where a lot of people rely on public transportation and wouldn't have cars or may be like you and only have one per family.

60 EUS is about $71. Definitely reasonable. That's an Uber trip to and from an airport basically.
It's all the way across the country, basically. Not everyone has a drivers license, not everyone has a car. If you expect people to travel to do their work, you have to compensate it. But I looked it up, and it's not mandated by law. They don't HAVE to compensate you for travel.

My boss sent me a message today saying that the people who work at the stands get paid by the distributers...like, the people working at the Joolz stand get paid by Joolz, and the people who work at the Nuna stand get paid by Nuna. I'm working the register, meaning I'm not working for one of the distributers. I'm working for the store, so she said I can make a declaration in the app for my travel. I have it in writing from her, so I'm going to trust that it will be paid. And we're going to make lemonade out of the lemons....E's university is on the way between our home and Amsterdam, so we're going to take the train together up to that point and then I'll go further, and then when I get done, she'll get back on the train in Ede Wageningen and we'll travel home together and we'll stop in Arnhem, where M will meet us, and we'll have dinner together somewhere. Then we don't have to take the train back here and he can just drop us off at the station to get our bikes and bike home.

There was supposed to be one other person from the store in Hengelo who sometimes works in our store if we don't have enough people, and she was going to take the train, too, and then we could meet up on our routes and travel together, but she is going by car with some coworkers now, so I'm on my own with the train. But it will suck less with E going with me half way.

Someone on a Disney FB group just asked what is good to do at Epcot because they didn't like it so far, and I think I may go lose my mind at the fact that this was even asked...

I can understand really. Not every ride is for everyone. I don't like Frozen, the Rat ride or Crush in Epcot. Haven't been on Guardians. Living with the Land is my favorite. But Epcot was my favorite before Disney ruined it.

Now MGM, that question would be a great question to ask. As much as I like a few rides, it's just so crowded and no good foods to eat

DHS has been less crowded that Epcot lately. No, I'm not kidding. Back in September, I got sick of the crowds at Epcot and went to DHS. Rise has a single rider line and breaks down less frequently, which really helps. The crowds tend to dip at about 3 pm, and then in the evening, MMRR and MFSR tend to have barely any waits. Star Tours is also consistent for short waits. The new villains show was very good; I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that good.

The food is also improving. They had Gumbo on the menu at Commissary. They need to make it permanent; it was amazing. Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy's Edge has pretty good food as well, as does Woody's Lunchbox. Prime Time, SciFi, and Brown Derby have also been consistently good lately. I liked the food at Roundup BBQ, but it was a bit pricey and I'd rather spend that at Brown Derby honestly. For snacks, they also have newer gelato and sorbet stands, and the ice cream place on Sunset Boulevard is consistently good. The funnel cake place over by Indiana Jones too...omg.

Honestly, I'll take dining at DHS over MK any day. Actually, DHS over MK any day. MK I walk into and am like "this isn't Disneyland and I don't like it." I probably spend the most time between DHS and Epcot these days.

Sounds highly illegal! I'd check your contract to see if they can make you work for no pay. Traveling outside of a normal commute is usually considered work time depending on where you are. Also making you pay for transportation to someplace so far is also usually problematic, again depending on local laws
YOU ARE NOT CRAZY!!!!!!!!!
Tell them you cannot go because not only can you not afford it, going without pay will endanger your health. Empasis on the health part
All that said too bad your dh can't get the day off so you can both spend the weekend there. imho that would be worth some out of pocket money. Nice hotel, no kids, sight seeing:joyfull: or better yet tell M to long walk off short pier and take E for a girl's weekend in the car
Remember what is illegal here, isn't necessarily illegal in another country. That said, I think it is very unfair of your employer to ask you to represent the company and then cost you money out of pocket to do it for them.

The 10th was my little brother’s birthday. We had dinner at toothsome chocolate emporium. Me and him had this vegan sandwich called the tooth and blue. It was supposed to come with vegan steak roasted portobello mushrooms vegan blue cheese arugula vegan garlic aioli and tomato jam but we each made modifications. He removed the blue cheese and the tomato jam and I asked for the tomato jam and mushrooms on the side but the tomato jam was omitted entirely they couldn’t put the mushrooms on the side and the blue cheese was missing from mine. It was still delicious though. We also got a banana split sundae and a s’mores sundae for dessert. They were also both delicious.

Usually the EU has stricter employment laws than we do, so the fact that this isn't illegal over there is wild.
