Only a little snow (somewhat icy) last night -- I just shovelled off the front steps and put a little ice/melt down. Done. Easy peasy. Looks like a White Christmas out there!![]()
I feel I've seen enough White Christmas's to cover a hundred lifetimes. It wasn't until I left New England that I realized that snow covered Christmas's are really only a limited number of places around the world. It feels the same to me now that snow isn't expected or even desired. It does get cooler here in NC during this time of year, but today and tomorrow have expected temperatures in the upper 60's. Not a scorching heat wave, but comfortable and so much safer if travel is necessary. So I dream of a greenish Christmas that can allow shorts and no bulky jackets.Only a little snow (somewhat icy) last night -- I just shovelled off the front steps and put a little ice/melt down. We are high of 70 today and tomorrow here in the western NC mountains. I’d rather not have a white Christmas either. We had plenty when I was a child.I feel I've seen enough White Christmas's to cover a hundred lifetimes. I did witness a 10" snowfall in 2010 here in Raleigh. Other than a 3" covering we had one year, don't remember which one, since then the place lived up to it's reputation. North Carolina allows all types of weather and all four seasons all at the same time. East are the beaches which are warmer in the winter and a minimum of 400 to 500 miles west the Great Smoky Mountains can probably/possibly see snow this time of year.
And snow in it's melted form is also known as liquid sunshine5° and windy here today.
Not even started on the sprouts yet
Tomorrow we are supposed to have snow
In it's melted form![]()
