Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate…!!!
Feast pics to come later…!!!!!

We had a great meal here. Dad made a turkey that fall apart. Dad also made the sweet potato casserole in slow cooker, and stuffing casserole. Mom made mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. We also cranberry sauce and gravy.

So, Thanksgiving at Mom and Pops was great yesterday, as per usual…!!!
Unfortunately, we were missing a few family members, though.
Next youngest bro (with cancer) and his family had Thanksgiving at their home. He’s still doing better, but he just doesn’t want to be very “public” right now. He’s lost so much weight, but he was already thin.
Youngest bro and his family went to Houston to celebrate with his in-laws. They alternate years.
But, lil’ sis and her hubby came in with one of their 5 children from Lafayette, LA. They are a blended family, both on their second marriage. They have 3 boys and 2 girls between them…I always joke with them that they are 1 Cindy shy of a “Brady Bunch”…!!!!!
They are awesome, and definitely both found the right mate this time…!!!

Anyway, on with the festivities…!!!

Snacks on the kitchen island…!!!

The turkey. Rolls, gravy, etc. on the stove. Spinach dip, kale salad, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, cheesy corn casserole, glazed carrots, lil’ smokies in the small red crock pot on the end, etc. on the island…!!!!!

My lil’ sis, Sarah, Carolyn, and Mom on the far right…!!!

Audrey always brings out the little rocking chair from the guest room at Great Mimi and Pawpaws home…!!!!!

My plate of lil’ smokies, hot gut sausage, glazed carrots, cheesy corn casserole, kale salad, green bean casserole, dressing/stuffing and dark and white meat turkey…!!!!!

Emmy found a four-leaf clover out in the backyard…blurry pic, but I took another one with me holding it…is that a four-leaf clover, or is it a mutant-leaf clover…???!!!!!

And, finally, my wonderful Mom and Pop around the table for desserts…!!!!!!!

We went out to a restaurant and had turkey dinner (although hubs had a fisherman's platter instead). Meals were great, but not quite as much food as you all had! The best part was that once we finished dinner, we could leave -- and the restaurant staff got the "joy" of cleaning up all the dishes!

Although I don’t eat nearly like I did in my younger days, I definitely feasted, and it was all sooo very good…!!!!!

Your hubs sounds kinda’ like me, in regard to ordering something a bit different, sometimes…
When we used to go to Catfish Parlour, I used to get the spicy fried jumbo shrimp, spicy fried oysters, and a coupla’ pieces of spicy fried catfish, more often than not, as opposed to the all-you-care-to-eat regular/spicy fried catfish…!!!!!
Mom and Pop didn’t hafta’ lift a finger when it came to cleanup, as we all chipped in and it was done quickly…!!!
I love y’all’s way as well too, and am very glad to hear y’all had a great Thanksgiving Day and meal…!!!
Of course, we absconded with a bunch of leftovers, too…!!!!!
I was out by about 10p, but woke up at 3a hungry. I may have snuck outta’ the bedroom, and made myself a turkey sandwich…!!!!!
But, darn it was good…!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is going to have winter storm in Southeastern Wisconsin. It is supposed to be 5 to 8 inches of snow during the day and an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow at night.

Emmy and Audrey came by this afternoon to help us do a bit of Christmas decorating inside and out…!!!!!
They helped us put up our yard blowup Santa and reindeer from last year, wrap our front porch column with colored lights, put up a blowup Santa bear (which they absolutely love ), and we watched a WDW Christmas parade, while they helped us decorate our main tree…!!!

Then, they helped us decorate our second tree in MILs former front room…!!!
This ol’ Pappy loves his granddaughters sooo very much…!!!!!

And, Carolyn says we’re not done decorating yet…can’t wait to see what she has in store next…!!!!!
