Ever see him in concert in the 80's? He put on a good show.
I never saw him in concert, but his Reckless album and Whitney Housten Greatest Hits were the first albums I ever bought. I was in elementary school....probably around 4th grade, and I used my birthday and Christmas money to buy myself a "ghettoblaster". It was purple. And the first tapes I bought were those two, followed by Tiffany.

Our new music teacher would have friday fun days sometimes when our music class fell on a Friday and she had a bunch of the poplular music on the radio with the lyrics printed out and she would pick kids who would get to pick a song and we all sang along to whatever song they chose. She had some white snake, bon jovi, Bryan Adams, Poison, Whitney Houston, Tiffany, Hall and Oates, Wham.....and my favorites were Summer of 69, The Greatest Love of All, and I think we're alone now. So those were the albums I bought.

I didn’t. I saw a grand total of one concert in the 80’s. Chicago at the old Exhibition Stadium in 86, and then Neil Diamond at the old Maple Leaf Gardens in 93.

I clearly wasn’t much of a concert goer in my youth. 😂
My brother got to see Miami Sound Machine in the early 80s for a friend's birthday, but as a general rule, we didn't get to go to concerts. Most of them were in Denver, which was about a 6 hour drive, and my mom also didn't really approve of most of the music or fashion. There was no way she would have taken us to see any of the concerts and I'm not sure she'd have let me go with a friend, but I was never invited to one, so I'll never know. I went to my first concert in college at Cheyenne Frontier Days.

It was Charlie Daniels, Mark Chessnut, Rascal Flatts, and Terry Clark. Good concert....Charlie wore out his bow completely on Devil went down to Georgia.
