One cool thing cast members can do for the little ones at the parks is having Mickey and friends wish the birthday child a happy birthday. We learned that you approach a CM and tell them your kid is having a birthday. The CM can dial up the characters on the telephone then give the telephone receiver to the child and the child can hear a recording of Mickey and friends wishing him or her a Very Happy Birthday.

Yes, we did that on our first family WDW trip when our oldest child (of 3, 2 daughters and 1 special needs son in between) turned 10 in July of 2001 while we were there…she loved it…!!! :)

Nice! Here, the person whose birthday it is brings treats for their coworkers. Kind of like in elementary school, where the kids bring treats on their birthdays, but here it's adults too.... Work, clubs, organizations... If it's my birthday, I'm supposed to bring treats for choir, for my coworkers, etc.

Call me selfish, but I ain’t bringin’ treats to my own birthday celebration…WTH is the point of that…?????!!!!! 🤪:hilarious:;)😁🤣

I'd genuinely rather not have the attention. I absolutely loathe it. I didn't have a graduation party for high school or college. If I ever get married, I think I would prefer parents/siblings only. I just don't like being the center of attention unless I'm performing or giving a speech. Since a lot of people just don't understand this, I have a personal policy of not sharing.
I understand it. I am like my younger brother when it comes to birthday meals. We don't like our birthday being mentioned at all.

For me, my best birthdays are the ones without parties.

My problem was most of my birthday parties as a kid happened with both sides of the family came. The problem with that is they couldn't get a long with each other even for a birthday party:rolleyes:. Also I was I given the impression my late grandma wanted to be somewhere and that is an issue that even happened without Birthday parties with her.
