Hubs' birthday is tomorrow, but we decided to go up to Kittery, Maine, today, for seafood.He's always liked raw bars, so he got a tower of oysters, littleneck clams, and jumbo shrimp. (I'll gladly eat the shrimp, but nothing else.)
After that he had a 1 1/2 pd. steamed lobster and french fries. My entree was large (and I mean, LARGE) broiled sea scallops, with a bacon cream sauce and vegetables. (Took a photo, as I was halfway through it.)

You ALMOST share a birthday with the Dutch king! His birthday is Sunday, but the celebration is happening tomorrow for some reason. Not sure WHY...maybe because it falls on a Sunday? I don't know. But the whole country celebrates, and the king visits a different town each year for it, and this year, he's in my town. Goody.

She always teases me because I’m a little over 6 months older than her…10/20/62, and 4/26/63, respectively.
Once the number lines up, not so much, but that doesn’t make me any less older than my lovely wife…!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Hubs and many more. I'm setup to head for Wells, Beach the first week in June for some of that New England Sea food and as I like to call it... the cold end of the Atlantic. My daughter was telling me about going to the beach in NC and how warm the water is and I asked her how come she liked the water warm when I used to have to threaten her with desertion if she didn't get out of the water up in Maine. She and her sister would stay in until vital external parts of their bodies had turned blue. (lips and fingers). Her flippant response was "I grew up". When she gets snotty like that it kinda makes me proud. It didn't go over well back when they were kids, but now that they have their own youngin's to deal with, I just chuckle.

At work, we get the day off during our birthday month. I took today so I could go to Busch Gardens for the weekend.

I’ve only been here since October of 2012, but I was a member of another (now defunct) site since 2007.
I don’t think I knew what the internet was before that…!!!!!
