I paid 3.93 for gas. My regular station opens at 7 which I thought it was earlier so I had to go to another one. Why do we call it gas if it's nothing like gas 🤔

One of the gates was closed getting to the parking garage which made the train arrive just as I was parking .

Gas = Gasoline.
