No class. I have no class whatsoever when it comes to banana desserts!

Some of you may be wondering, “Brian came home? But shouldn’t he already be home recovering from his spinal fusion surgery on the 13th?”

Yes, yes he should. But in classic “look what I can do” fashion, he went back to work 2 weeks to the day after the surgery. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

At least he’s not lazy(?)

Last weekend before school starts for my kiddos. School already started Monday, but E's university and A's adult high school start a week later. A only has to go to school for like 3 hours a day 3 days a week. I hope he likes it...it will be a HUGE change for him going from the small sheltered classes of 10 kids all with autism to a class of 30 adults without special needs. I THINK his teachers are informed about his needs, but obviously the other students won't be, and they are all adults for the most part. It's only for 18+ and he's only 16, but they make exceptions in certain cases, like his where his school didn't offer the 2 subjects he needs for a college major in the tech sciences. So hopefully all the adults are mature enough that they won't be bullying him because he's obviously "different" and his teachers will know how to help him if he has an issue. He's made HUGE strides in being able to ask for help since he started in special education back in 5th grade, so I THINK he should be ok for the most part, and he's really good at math. He's never had issues with the material for the concrete subjects like math and sciences. His problem has always been social/emotional, and I would hope that most people in an adult educational institution would be beyond making fun of an autistic kid, but you never know.

Sending healing wishes to Brian. Sounds like he went back to work a bit too early; but fingers crossed, it may not affect his progress.

Tony, as for the cake -- I completely understand! :hilarious:
