By the way, this is a nice tribute on the Boston Common for Memorial Day. There are 37,369 flags placed there (by volunteers), to represent all the MA military who gave their life for their country, since the Revolutionary War. (I saw it a few years ago, and it was a quiet and powerful display, to see in person.)

Just a reminder today that Memorial day is about all those men and women that died in the job of securing our democracy or helping others achieve theirs. A message that has never been more needed than right now.
There are so many that confuse it with veterans in general. It is not that. As a veteran I can tell everyone that I obviously never made the ultimate sacrifice. I got home to have a family and a long life. Everytime I see that black wall in Washington, my heart sinks a little. Thanks to all those that made that sacrifice and allowed the rest of us to have this privileged life.
