It’s been a great weekend so far with sil’s visit. Here is a picture of the birthday cake we got dh. I ordered from Carlos Bakery using Goldbely. Never did anything like that before and he had mentioned the rainbow cake he had seen. I did try a piece which was first taste of real sugar in close to a year. It was good but so sweet. The funniest part was when my youngest who is a sugar fiend came back to the kitchen with the whole outer edge of icing still left on her plate. She said it was too sweet. Wow. So this was a one and done for us. I will ketchup later when things are “back to normal”.

That cake looks really good. I can imagine it did taste really sweet, I have always found most cake frosting too sweet. My mom would usually get us a cake with whipped cream frosting, it never seemed too sweet and it was fluffy and creamy. Yum.

Yesterday my wife and I did some supermarket shopping in the late afternoon. It was even more crowded than usual because many people needed to stock up for Super Bowl parties.
I never understood the obsession.
I seriously was in awe when cnn mentioned the billion of chicken wings consumed..

(edited, no idea why the hell Firefox ate the word "undertood" before posting... )

A good gift considering the huge obsession of Kingdom Hearts 3 right now.

I'm still laughing.. because even after 9 games.. The game ended in another cliffhanger without actually explaining everything fully.

Some already are joking that they will see the next games in 2023, 2027, 3030 and even joked that their grandsons will have the quest to finish the game for real. :hilarious:

Supplier issues aside, what I can't figure out is why they created a somewhat different recipe for the store bought Mickey bars, versus the ones they sell in the parks only. What's up with that?! 🤦

Probably already been answered, but, after reading around the boards and The Googles, not only is the grocery store version made from lesser quality ingredients, they are also 25% smaller (premium Park bar at 4oz. vs. 3oz. for the grocery store version).
A box of 6 of the grocery store version is said to cost $7.49, whereas a box of the Park version, at existing full price, would cost $34.50...!!!!!!! :greedy:
Disney knows the average shopper will happily pay $7.49 for 6 of the smaller, lesser quality grocery store novelty version though, so making up a lot of the cost difference via volume.
It even has this info on the bottom of the grocery store version packaging...

347480

Add that extra oz. that the premium Park bars have, and you have 25% more fat and calories.
I wish I could somehow find out what the per unit cost was for the Park bars vs. the grocery store bars, and what the margins were... 🤔;):)
