Sympathy like. I hope it turns to just hitting New England. I have to drive an hour and a half into Maryland for a cheer competition. The one girl with a sprained ankle is not going to be competing and they are going up against 5 other teams. One is a rival from our town. So the 8 yr old from a higher level team had to learn the whole routine yesterday. She needed to be a backspot and base. Those are positions she never did. She did a great job. She did drop my dd a couple of times, but I offered to go in one extra day this week so they can practice the one stunt. She is a head taller than my dd so it is not like they are the same height. I just think it’s because it is something she never had to do before. She is a flyer on her team.
Good luck, I'm setting all my blowers to @MinnieM123 I don't want any snow either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have one whole day and want to do something fun for my older ds' birthday. Worst case if we're stuck inside is I'll cook something special but there's a new restaurant he wants to try shhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! and I'm can't make reservations until I know what the weather will be like:banghead:

Laundry done.... caught up here... now I need to go peel and dice veggies for this soup:

Autumn wild rice soup
Thanks for the link. I just made this, but needed to adjust. I used 1 cup canned lowfat coconut milk instead of regular milk. I pureed some of it and used corn, butternut squash, sweet and yukon gold potatoes. Really delicious. I added precooked brown rice I had to it. :hungry:

They made a flyer, a base?!? Wholy cow, flyers are usually little waifs!
Well, this girl is the youngest on a team of kids that are mostly 10-12 year olds. The minimum for that age bracket is 6 I believe. But that kid has been doing back handsprings since she was 5. She is really talented. She is the smallest on her team. On dd's team she ends up as one of the tall girls. My dd is the tiny waif you speak of on her team.:hilarious: 47 pounds and maybe 47 inches.

My husband would run away with all those onions on top, but I think it looks delicious. I did put onions in mine, but I chop them up very fine, so they pretty much dissolve within the soup!

I hope it all works out for them. Are you sure you don't want to swap kids;) What I would give to be able to shop in the little children's department again

I have some of that on my floor right now. Guess who wanted to make furry hair bands?
Sympathy like. 2 showers later and I'm finally not itchy:hilarious: I only had to do the floor 3 times:rolleyes: and joy of joys I forgot everything had to be traced twice and cut on a flat piece instead of folded fabric:banghead::banghead::banghead::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: I had to retrace a few pieces:facepalm: I don't care if I love the jacket when it's done, it'll be a one and done. At least for this year;)
