Cesar, I hope that at least for a first interview with this company, they would allow you to Skype -- due to the distance involved with travel, etc. I could understand for a follow up or 2nd interview, that it would make sense for you to travel to Vancouver. Hope this all works out for you. You would be a gem to any company that is lucky enough to hire you for your skills.
I'm hoping for this.
The first company was a no go. They requested (out of nowhere) knowledge of a software system I have no knowledge about. But Im going to be reading tutorials to see how it works. Even download a demo to see what the fuzz is about.

@StarWarsGirl : Your company does use SAP/ERP ?

More art needing critique. Didn't use any people, so I figured this one will be a little more well recieved.
You're def improving.

Just a few things.

  • Always make sure that your layers ease in and ease out correctly. I see you have one layer (the bottom left grass) ends in a straight horizontal way. That gives away that its pasted and copied. Try to ease in and make it diagonally or soften it with an eraser with lower opacity levels (30-50% opacity)
  • Always make sure the Layers you put.. do not conflict with the background details. Example, there is grass that is supposed to be "behind" the dried tree on the left. including the posts. Yet the grass texture is ON TOP. This will make your teacher think you're being lazy on the details. Erase the area so it doesn't conflict.
