@ajrwdwgirl , you've got to see the photos of the Cadaver Dans (for Halloween)!! In Sheriffwoody's TR, (Waddling Around the World), on page 3, post 48 (beneath the castle evening pictures), she got some cute pictures of the (I assume Dapper Dans, but decked out a smidge different for Halloween!! ;) )

I'll be checking it out soon. I haven't made it to the TRs yet tonight, but thanks for letting me know. I watched a video with them the other day, hubs was thrilled! We have only gone to the Halloween party once and never got around to seeing them, it was a bummer.

Annette always did stand out. I had a major crush on her. Even as I got older I never missed a Beach Movie with her and Frankie. My most remembered line in one of the movies was...(not by her)... "Is you gonna play pool or is you ain't".

When she got married I was about 14 and I was totally devastated. I used to have fantasies about walking along the street and by chance she was walking toward me looking a different direction and happened to walk right into my arms. Never got beyond that, but, I knew it was going to be true love that would last forever and ever. Her life ended so sadly though. She had one of the worse cases of MS that there was. I happened upon a You Tube video of her final years and it would rip your heart out.

I’m around 15 years younger than you, and 2 days shy of 20 years younger than she was, and I also had a boyhood crush on Annette.
At one point in the early 70’s when we lived in No Cal, they started showing reruns of The Mickey Mouse Club on TV. We only had 5 TV stations at the time, no cable (the 3, then, major networks, PBS, and a local station), and for the life of me I can’t remember which one it was on... :cyclops:
I had, also, never seen the show before.
Anyway, she indeed stood out to me too, even though I knew the episodes were almost 20 years old.
Then I saw her in one of the beach movies...it was like she grew up overnight...!!!!! :hilarious:
Still was as cute as ever, though...!!!!! :inlove: :)
I still remember a few of the other things she was in after that, including the Skippy Peanut Butter commercials.
Also remember when she went public with the news she had been diagnosed with MS. And, full-on MS, not the remitting relapsing type.
Such a tragic way for her life to have turned.
Still saddens me.

She was born in 1942, I hit the streets in 1948 so she was 6 years older then me. I first fell into severe like with her just after the Mickey Mouse Club started in 1955 so I was a child of 8 years old at that time. And that severe like carried through for another 10 years until she married in 1965. That's when I gave up hope. However, and this may be more then anyone wants to know, my wife had a slight resemblance to Annette, even the hair color and she was 7 years older then me. Coincidence? Probably, but, I just now realized that. Also my first "real" girl friend also resembled, feature wise Annette. She, however, was the same age as me. This whole discussion is starting to feel weird isn't it?
