Obviously, you don't mind your food touching

I find it amusing that some people don't let their different food items on a plate touch. (Believe it or not, I only heard about that preference here in the chit chat section, over the past year or so.)

Just a thought: it all goes to the same place. Reminds me of one of my favorite rhymes:
Over the lips, past the gums, look out tummy, here it comes! :joyfull:

In other news. I'm enfuriated.
its been like.. a year? since the Skype with MSN messenger merger.
yet they still have the most choddy job of interoperation accounts.
You have to use your MSN account (email) to login into skype, which in turn tells you to go to a website to use the email account to upgrade it into an skype account...
yet there is no crossreference nor connection between hotmail and skype.

you go to your hotmail's account for information about aliases and accounts, you will find EVERY SINGLE ACCOUNT except SKYPE.

also when you make the "transfer", they will assign you a skype name , because you cannot login with your email on the program.
except it never tells you exactly what your skype name is unless you use the skype program.
this is pretty annoying as I have already an skype account and skype program, I do not want to merge BOTH accounts.

not to mention how skype as the WORST PIECE OF CARP contact management since the first AIM edition program.
ITS ABSOLUTELY SH....t

Oh my. If you can't figure out their mess, probably no one else could either. You're our computer guru here.

I do that most of the time but now when I am out of the house I bought a pair of real bifocals. I can now walk through the grocery store without taking cheaters on and off to look at expiration dates. Same product but it is nice to be able to see ahead without looking though cheater glass.

I still have like 20+ cheater glasses roaming the house, coat pockets, car. Note; Bifocals do not allow me to play on laptop cause you look at laptop through dead center of lenses. For that I'd need tri-focals. Not going there, yet. Bifocals were enough of a challenge.

I tried bifocals once (progressives) and couldn't stand them. Yup, I "practiced" with them and did everything my eye doctor told me to do, but they just drove me crazy. At that time, I just went back to distance contacts and cheapo reading glasses from CVS. I eventually also got a pair of distance regular eyeglasses, but no more progressives. Seems about half the people like bifocals, and the other half don't.

Never seen a gator. We've had an armadillo cross right in front of us at ASMovies.

I've seen flying eagles over the treetops near Wilderness Lodge. One time I was on the little boat from MK going back to Wilderness Lodge and saw them. The boat driver confirmed to me that they were, indeed, eagles. I've also seen bunny rabbits in various locations all over WDW, and I once saw a deer near Wilderness Lodge, too. :)

How were the hush puppies? I have a hard time finding good hush puppies. You could play tennis with most of them.

The very first time I ever had hush puppies, was about 5 years ago in North Carolina. My brother lives in an area that's well known for it's barbecue. Had the most delicious barbecued chicken of my life there. Then I tried the hush puppies and thought they were these doughy bland things. it was a really good restaurant we went to, so I'm sure they knew how to make hush puppies, but I didn't care for them. Is there more than one way to make them? Sounds like you've had "good" ones and I'm trying to figure out what made them good.

There are pros and cons to everything and for one that has health insurance 100% family coverage free from employer, I like the idea of Universal Health coverage even though it doesn't impact me. In a nation like ours it irks me that people cannot receive decent health care or meds and suffer or die because of lack of health insurance. While the obama care is a step in the right direction it doesn't still reach the unfortunate. I wrestle with that in a nation like ours, shouldn't be the case.

Wow! Your employer covers your health insurance 100%?! :jawdrop:  You are so lucky! :)

I forget the exact percentage that I pay now, but I know it's always been a fair breakdown. All the jobs I've had, I've always paid a portion, and the employer pays some--employers paid from 70% to 80%, depending upon the company. (Most companies I've worked for paid at 80%.) My employer tries very hard not to raise our amount, and they try alternative measures such as raising copays a little bit, or higher amounts on some prescription medicines. (As for universal health, that would be nice, but I doubt it would happen. What I will share here is that our local health centers and hospitals do reach out to the homeless, as well as those living at the poverty level, and offer them some basic healthcare. It may not be a perfect solution, yet I applaud their proactive outreach. Our hospital also has some very generous donors, who have contributed large sums of money to help those less fortunate. There are angels in our midst . . .)

I call this the waddle walkway because after eating at Trail's End and walking to Wilderness Lodge, it is.

Ugh. I just threw up a little in my mouth.

If it doesn't actually leave the mouth and land, the streak is still intact. :p
Pretty sure @Goofyernmost will argue that point, but what does he know? He doesn't even know enough to wear the patch over the bad eye.
Nope! Don't disagree at all. If you really enjoy swallowing your own vomit, who am it to stand in the way.:depressed: Given the choice, I would take the watermelon over that!:hungry: Canadians is strange peoples!!

Have you tried progressive lenses? That's what I use and really like them, although sometimes you have to adjust the tilt of your head.

Ours closes on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend (second Monday of October) and re-opens the first full weekend before Valentine's Day.
Hubby is there as I type. He had it in his head that we were having DQ cake (might pick one up tomorrow, no room in the freezer following the Costco trip yesterday to store it until the B'day Boy toodles in), so Mike is picking up Blizzards.
Oreo for Son #2 (who has still not eaten).
German Chocolate Cake for me.
I'm guessing he picks up Skor or Smarties for himself.

Just to refresh your memory - these are Smarties:

Our DQ is open year round but our A&W just opened for the season. I think I hear a root beer float calling my name. :hungry:

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
and here I was thinking you made it all from scratch.
jennifer.. I aM DISSAPOINT.
How so?
You KNOW I don't cook.
Aaaaaand, I specifically said "made". :hilarious:

P.S. I actually have made shepherd's pie from scratch lots of times in years past. Cost the same as the deli-made one from Costco, made a huuuuuuge mess of my kitchen, tasted only marginally better, and didn't yield me a handy dandy, high-quality, reusable-but-ultimately-disposable, aluminum pan.

So between getting clothes, shoes and etc for work, I have spent my first week's paycheck.

There is no really dress code except that you can't come in naked which is not pretty except maybe for one or two people and the customers that need help :angelic:. People dress up, wear jeans or khakis. My supervisor wore a football jersey (soccer) Friday.

But coming from a 'wear uniform' environment everyday, I really had nothing except for 2 interview shirts/pants, 1 suit and a suit jacket.

Tomato soup is too wet. I don't do soggy bread.
No crackers in my soup. No croutons in my Caesar salad.
more crackers, croutons and bread for me then! :p

its a simple merger thing.
Microsoft is shutting down all messenger servers, which have open technology that was used by competitors.
and they are moving now all the communication to skype servers, which are very closed tech.
which means microsoft wants you to "suck it and use skype" regardless of how awful skype is for normal chat. its a move grab because they want you to charge you phone# and calls.

but seriously. Skype is AWFUL for contact management and ordering.
